This app will show real-time changes in different sensor values of your device. And, also describes how they work. You can monitor sensor values after shaking device, rotating device, changing position of device, etc.*Note: Not all devices support each sensor!
Following sensors are included:
- Accelerometer Sensor
Measures the acceleration force in m/s2 that is applied to a device on all three physical axes (x, y, and z), including the force of gravity.
It's common use is Motion detection (shake, tilt, etc.). It is widely used in game development.
- Gravity Sensor
Measures the force of gravity in m/s2 that is applied to a device on all three physical axes (x, y, z).
It's common use is Motion detection (shake, tilt, etc.).
- Gyroscope Sensor
Measures a device's rate of rotation in rad/s around each of the three physical axes (x, y, and z).
You can see the effects immediately by rotating your smartphone slowly.
It's common use is Rotation detection (spin, turn, etc.).
Gyroscope sensor is mostly used in 3D game development.
- Linear Acceleration Sensor
Measures the acceleration force in m/s2 that is applied to a device on all three physical axes (x, y, and z), excluding the force of gravity.
It's common use is monitoring acceleration along a single axis.
- Light Sensor
Measures the ambient light level (illumination) in lx.
It is used to for controlling screen brightness.
You can test this sensor by putting phone in light and dark.
- Magnetic Field Sensor
Measures the ambient geomagnetic field for all three physical axes (x, y, z) in μT.
It's common use is creating a compass and detecting a metal.
- Proximity Sensor
Measures the proximity of an object in cm relative to the view screen of a device, usually the device screen and our hands/face etc. This sensor is typically used to determine whether a handset is being held up to a person's ear.
- Relative Humidity Sensor
Measures the relative ambient humidity in percent (%).
It is used for monitoring dewpoint, absolute, and relative humidity.
- Temperature Sensor
Measures the ambient room temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).
You can take action when the temperature is too low or high.
