WHICH COUNTRIES DOES THE TERRA APP WORK IN?
The app works in all locations with wifi when listening to the curated locations. However when used in conjunction with the Terra Listen device in your backyard, the bird identification functionality is only currently available in North America, Central America and Europe. This will be extended later.

ABOUT CONSERVATION
Terra is one of the most revolutionary, community-driven wildlife projects ever created. Terra will anonymously send migration data to researchers and allow them to track species and entire bird populations for the first time, creating a new scientific database and a powerful tool for conservation

Each Terra device anonymously shares the sounds, radio tracking and environmental data it picks up with a bird conservation database and then compiles and analyzes the data to identify species, number of birds and other information.

Our understanding of how birds migrate, their habitats and stopover points, and the impact of specific human and natural events on populations will be immeasurably increased, with a level of precision never before possible, allowing for more direct and effective conservation efforts.
