Good app that is well designed, easy to use, and functional. I took two stars away because to show you the outdoor air quality (as reported by internet third-parties), you need to first log in, which isn't really needed, and then you need to give the app your precise (exact) location. Allowing it your approximate location (which is about a 1.5 mile radius) is easily good enough for your local air quality, but instead they want to know who you are and exactly where you live, which is unnecessary.

EDIT: These issues have been corrected! Great air purifiers made in the land of the free! The app leaves a bit to be desired, as it frequently disconnects from the air purifier and often has to be restarted to reconnect. Otherwise, it has a great graph of different contaminant's levels inside and outside, a scheduling feature, and both manual and auto control.

Life's full of uncertainties, but one thing I know for sure: this is without a doubt the worst app I've EVER used. It's been over two years, I've notified Blueair of its numerous bugs and not a single one has been fixed. NOT ONE. Blueair releases "updates" but NOTHING changes. At this point, I wonder if some of the purported app features are just fabricated to sell units and it's not even possible to "fix" the issues. COMPLETE GARBAGE. Also, this app's 4.4 star average review is highly suspect.

Horrible app Everytime the purifier is powered off it will not reconnect to Wi-Fi. Uninstall/reinstall app, reboot router, right arm in right arm out right arm in and shake it all about do the hokie pokie and turn yourself about. Repeat process 42 times and bam connected, easy peasy! I have about 30 Wi-Fi connected devices in my home, I can get 29 of them connected in under a minute. This takes hours, sometimes days.

Frequently, the scheduled settings do not get applied. I assume this is due to the app. Or maybe the hardware doesn't have any memory dedicated to this function for some reason. Either way. It frequently fails to hit the nightly scheduled settings or return to the daytime scheduled settings and I have to go manually set it up.

Worked fine until recent app update. Now the schedule doesn't work. I cleared everything and re-set the air purifier up and it still doesn't work. The speed changes at random, unscheduled times, NEVER the scheduled times. Even when I set the speed manually, it randomly changes itself.

Have 2 units and just changed the filter at the 9 month mark. The app worked well for about 7 months, then it disconnected, and i had to reset the wifi connection to get it to work. Took a little bit to get it to reconnect. After replacing the filter and resetting the filter light on the machine, the app still shows the filter needs to be replaced. Makes me question whether any reading on the app is real. It does operate the machine remotely. No info on how to reset the app filter indicator.

Changed the filter had to do a reset because filter reset doesn't work. Then un installed purifier from app to reinstall the wifi connection. Followed all the trouble shooting and it still will not connect to wifi. Had the same problem managing another airpurifier for my Mom and had to do all the steps. But got it to finally connect a few days later. But not in my home. So frustrating. There is nothing smart about an app or appliance that can not connect itself.
