This application easily allows your Android OS smartphone or tablet device to handle images scanned with the personal document scanner “ScanSnap”.

[What you need]
To use ScanSnap Connect Application, you need to have Wi-Fi connection (via direct connection or your router) and the following devices.

[Main features of ScanSnap Connect Application]
-Receive and view PDF/JPEG images scanned with ScanSnap in a seamless manner.
-Receive ready-to-use files already corrected with various features (automatic paper size detection/auto color detection/blank page removal/deskew).
-View images offline.
-Open the images with other applications on your smartphone or tablet device that support PDF/JPEG files. Also, send images to e-mail software or an application such as Evernote that supports PDF/JPEG files.

This product could have been very good. The Android app requires you to setup the scanner on a PC. Only then can you use the Android Application. Later in the field, when you want to use the scanner again, you may discover that the scanner needs to be reconnected to a PC in order to use the Android app again. What? Why? Im confused! Forcing the use of a PC makes this scanner NOT PORTABLE!! In two words, this app is: Gar Bage.

Great scanner hardware and app used to work decently. Since last few months or so, app doesn't connect to the scanner anymore. Uninstall, restart device and reinstall, it might connect to iX-500 for once. After that first run, if you were lucky first time, it won't find your scanner again. In fact the app freezes when searching for scanner and eventually crashes. Update says it supports Android 9, looks like they forgot about Android 8 first

A lot of the recent issues people are bringing up are true. The functionality isn't seamless with the mobile app. While the scan is in process you cannot back out of the app to do anything else on your phone, it timesout the connection to the scanner and stops scanning mid way. Come on now. Anytime you back out of the app or start it up again it loses connection to the scanner directly, EVEN IF YOUR WIFI IS STILL CONNECTED DIRECTLY. Are you serious!? This should be automatically reconnecting.

The app is good but recently having issues scanning receipts to phone. The dimensions of receipt scan isn't the same as paper receipt. It's scanning as letter size. It should be only 3" inches across but it's scanned as 8.5" across. Please build in more options in app. Using Android 10.

This barely works with ix100. I have a Galaxy 10plus. It is extremely glitchy. Sometimes it can connect to scanner and other times not. It is completely not reliable. It took me five hours yesterday to get it to work and it was. But of course now it isn't. I cannot scan. This is very frustrating.

What happened to the Dropbox integration. The app gives the error, "The app was not correctly configured and cannot access your Dropbox". However, it was connected for many years prior. I've removed the app and started from scratch without luck. Please review this integration.

ScanSnap Connect discontinued in days, yet replacement "ScanSnap Home" isn't available in many countries including mine. Leaves customers stranded without a solution. Discontinuing an app without global successor availability is unacceptable. Your paying customers with ScanSnap hardware deserve better than being abandoned. Make ScanSnap Home worldwide or extend Connect support!

This app has stopped working properly with the scanner. It was once a great app with the scanner now it totally useless. You have to reboot the device several times just or get the app to connect. Then it constabtly gets disconnected, sometimes at the end of a scan before the app can receive the document.
