I am disgusted! The new version of Gmail has made all the messages, photos, files exchanged with a friend disappear. I can't figure out how to get it back and this friend has disappeared from the list of people I had in the Hangout version. The "Chat" tab with conversations sorted by date is gone. I hate this new version and I can't get back messages that have disappeared due to the change in layout design.

It seems once Android was updated recently this app just stopped showing notifications completely. Settings are all fully open for allowing notifications and the app was uninstalled and reinstalled and absolutely nothing was fixed. Also adding that following the instructions to use goo.gle/3qgqwa2 does absolutely nothing to fix my situation.

I really like this app, because it lets me be able to text my friends really easily. But I wish there were more fun things that are incorporated into this app. It is also sort of hard to find the buttons where you can make your text change colours and become bolder. but otherwise I think this is a great app, especially because the spaces make organizing studying and chatting into 2 different sections.

Best chatting platform! • It has CloudSync without the need of linking any 3rd party service • Doesn't require SIMs (phone numbers), just use a free E-mail instead! • It is cross platform thanks to its web version. If you prefer a client, their are 3rd party clients available which ch you can use! !• FLAW: When voice calling, it doesn't ring for other users, all they get is a notification that the call started

Life will be fine without being able to add chats to homescreen... I was unhappy to be forced to switch over to this app when I opened the old app. I had to delete all the shortcuts to chats that I added to my phone home page. Could there be an "add to home page" for individual chats? Pinning conversations in the app isnt the same. I'm sure getting use to the new app would be fine, but I really want to have that one feature back.

The app used to be great, but it's incorporation with Google Meet is awful. Neither me nor my family members get any ringtone when calling each other from Chat anymore, doesn't matter if it's voice or video call. All notifications are enabled, also tried reinstall. It just pops up as a PM with a tiny ding, in most cases a sound that's either inaudible or ignorable. Video chat even has the button for raising your hand. People who aren't at work want your product too, so why are you ignoring us?

Every time I try and send the photo it locks up and says there's a problem with the photo and then it won't send it I can go to Hangouts and it sends perfectly within a couple seconds your app is horrible I have no problems with Hangouts I have multiple issues with this app you need to fix all the problems with your application. I would give it zero Stars if it did not work at all but sometimes communication works fine most of the time it doesn't and it isn't my phone it's a new phone

It has room to be better. Years and not much has changed, no competition against other platforms. Emoticons becoming emojis seems excessive as a forced feature and removes the personal layer of expression that shouldn't rely on clicking a button every time to cancel this feature. A simple option to disable it could fix this issue. The biggest issue is that "read" receipts don't work for individuals in group chats anymore, and this diminishes the app's effectiveness, even for professional use.
