Including layers of security and privacy controls, Mississippi Mobile ID is a contactless, convenient way to verify your identity from your phone.

Mississippi Mobile ID allows you to control what information you share during a transaction. For example, when buying age-restricted items, the app can confirm you are of legal age without having to share your birth date or address.

Intuitive and easy-to-use, Mobile ID is unlocked by a selfie match to verify identity, or by using a self-selected pin or TouchID/FaceID so your personal information is always protected.

In five simple steps, you can register for your Mississippi mID:

1. Download the app and set permissions
2. Verify access to your phone number
3. Use your device camera to scan the front and back of your driver’s license or ID card
4. Follow the app’s registration steps to take a selfie
5. Set up app security and you’re good to go!

Please note: Mississippi Mobile ID is considered an official state-issued ID, serving as a companion to your physical ID. Please continue to carry your physical ID because not all entities are able to verify mID yet.

November 19, 2021 While not perfect, this app does work. I've seen a lot of complaints that the confirmation text they send you doesn't work, and for me it was also true. Clicking the link opened up my browser on my phone, for me that's Firefox, and it failed to load. However, I tried opening Firefoxs options menu and selected "Open in app" and it loaded the link inside the Mobile ID app automatically, and verified my identity. The app also continuously crashes if it doesn't have full permission

I've read the other reviews and many of the complaints I honestly believe are true. I live in Mississippi and normally nothing works here, but I have no complaints it does what it says it will do. If you can't get it to work read some of the reviews and try their suggestions. It looks like a simple change of a few of the permissions and such. Mississippi Mobile ID work just fine for me. But if all else fails just carry your ID it's not that hard.

It's fairly easy to setup and works with the lottery machines for age verification. It's abit slow on both WiFi and 5G. But the big issue for me is the app is a 1 to One - you can have it running on one device only. If the app/technology is so secure then it's facial recognition should be able to identify me whether I'm using a IOS(Apple) or Android. There's many who have multiple mobile devices for work, backup, hotspot, child pacifier or some other reasons.

I've been trying for about two years ever few months or so I download the app and try to activate my mobile ID. It has yet to work. The first few times I tried it would never get passed the link it would send the link to my text but the link wouldn't work. So I copied the link and pasted in the browser and it said the link didn't exist. I gave up for a while. I just tried again about ten times tonight. The link works, it goes through the process of scanning the ID and face then an error message

Fine app. If link registration fails, READ THE FAQ/TROUBLESHOOTING. It literally walks you thru how to change your phone's settings. Must open link directly to app, not in browser. Constant face image animation is irritating, seems pointless. App should also include SMART Health Card to pull COVID vaccine data. Would be nice to also include MDWFP licenses/permits. My previous state's app included all of the above.

Took a few times to do the face recognition but other than that...love it. Easy to use at airline. GoMS We finally moving up with technology 🤗

Left a 1-star review in 2022 for improperly formatted verification link that you get texted not opening correctly, requiring chasing down a workaround. STILL an issue in 2024...
