I like the App, but there are some things that annoy me about it. The first thing is the way how you entable the shared folder. That is way harder then it has to be. The 2nd thing is the recognition of people. It's works pretty decent, but it's annoying that you can't tag people in pictures that either didn't got recognised or got wrongly recognised. Please add that you can manually select who is in the picture. +please add the recognition of pets (cats and dogs at least)

With the last update the app has gotten worse having problems with the album section. Now when you scroll over the albums up or down, it's terribly sluggish. I reckon they have probably changed the caching mechanism and basically ruined everything. Two stars for otherwise a rather good app, at least used to be good. UPD: reinstalled an older v2.1.0-503, the problem is gone! Don't update to v2.2.x until they fix it.

Decent app for managing photos library. Similar to Google Photos, but without advanced features. Works seamlessly most of the time. However, there are couple issues I would expect to be improved. First is that it tends to ask for verification code unexpectedly and too often, even though I check "trust this device" every time. The other issue I have with it is that photos resolution seems to be reduced when viewing them, and video playback is too slow.

Photos are not shown in the original quality when you open them. They look perfectly fine in other photos apps, the Synology photos website, and even the Synology drive app, but here, unless you download it, you won't see it in high quality. You literally cannot share photos from other apps. The file/photos browser won't let you pick media from this app, forcing you to either download the photo first, or just share from within the app.

Mobile backup is not reliable. Some photos are not uploaded, so you end up having to check all of them to see what was missed. edit: there are settings that restrict which directories are backed up, so increasing rating. Still not good UI since ot would have resulted in data loss if I hadn't checked.

No matter how often I press trust this device I generally have to put in OTP codes at least twice, usually more times, before I can start using the app. Recently it says "no internet connection" most of the time even though there is wifi and cellular internet connection available. It gets more and more unusable.

I am backing up DCIM\My Albums because I don't need every photo I took to go to NAS. But, it asks me if I want to backup when I create a new album folder even when it is under My Albums and if I miss that notification, there are no backups for that folder. There is no sane way to find and add that folder. Then it shows folders in the wrong depth at source selection setting. It won't show folders inside My Albums as under it. It is just not working.

setup app with changes from defaults cache=1gb, sync all photos and folders this syncs gallery as well. only issue it got a 3 rating instead of 4 is when I was out of wifi range it correctly paused, when I came back in range it did start the sync, but would not progress. I went into apps and forced it to stop and reopened app and sync started correctly. probably a bug...
