If you don't mind scrolling through sounds that are only available with a paid subscription to get to the free ones, this app is okay. The sounds are solid and the interface is usable if not outstanding. (The notification bar player needs work.) You can also pay a few cents to get rid of the ads without a subscription (unlocks no new sounds) and watch ads to unlock subscription sounds for one use. I'd rate this 2,5 stars if possible, but three stars for a free app that does it's job is okay too.

Overall Good ... However, this app could be so much more. If you have a Very Good Ear (like my husband - The Sound Engineer) it's easy to pick up on the repetition of the sound effect. On the other hand if, like me - your hearing is average - once A Sound Engineer has pointed out the repetitions for you, one can never listen to the sound effects again. Fait accomplit, mon amis.

This is a great app with many good quality sounds which are all fully adjustable . The full version of this app used to be completely free, and I enjoyed it for several years without cost. I understand that developers need income, but I say, develop new apps and charge for those. Not the ones that were already free . I would have given a five star rating, but I am very disappointed that they now decided to charge for a monthly or yearly subscription fee for what once was free of charge.

That app has a great sound, and plenty of controls and settings to get it dialed in. However, the app will randomly increase the sound for about a half a second. Just enough to wake you up. I had to uninstall.

cricket sound is horrible.. the speed and rhythm is so fast and contast. You should add multiple cricket sounds that have many of their own rhythms and volumes. plus some crickets are faster than others. Also, I heard that snoring could be a white noise too. soft snoring. try it! lol. Also, I remember white noise app from apple store. It had rain noise from within a car. I don't know if my microphone will do a good job but thanks. Maybe we can download each other's white noises?

Most of the sounds loop every 2 minutes, which is fine except that right at the start-over point there is a change in the sound that is louder than the other 1:57. That three second burst wakes you up and is very annoying. All the white/brown/pink noises do that.

The sounds are great, and customizing and combining sounds is fantastic. :) I would like to close the app and not have it remain open in the background, so that's a downer. :(

Thank you AwesomeDroid! White Noise Free is the best noise mask ever! Not that I have to but I'd pay for this service/app anytime. Reddit: A few years have passed and the White Noise app by AwesomeDroid had only gotten better, a few things have changed our morphed into something new but the core app is stronger than ever.
