The Mandelbrot Set is a mathematical object, a fractal, that exists in the complex plane. It was first studied by Robert Brooks and Pater Matelski in 1978, and popularized by Scientific American in 1985.

The immediate neighbourhood of the Mandelbrot Set has a boundless wealth of detail and intricacy. With MandelView4, you can enjoy that beauty wherever you go, and share particularly nice views with friends.

There are many applications on the Internet for exploring the Mandelbrot set. This one is designed to be fast, easy to use, and moderately configurable. Some of its features include:
* Adjustable compute limit
* Multi-threaded computation for speed
* Zoom in to more than 10000000X
* Adjustable colors, including alpha effects
* Bookmarks
* Save to gallery and Share

This version has over a dozen pre-defined base color schemes; the ability to define custom color gradients will be in the next version.

I can't save. Whenever I click on save and go check in my files, the saved file is not there. With regards to the iteration limit, I set it to 320 and then zoomed in. There was a point where I could not zoom in anymore, and the application automatically closed (crashed). It would be convenient if the application did not close or if the iteration limit changed automatically.

Only thing missing is the ability to drag the image. Maybe swipe fpr pan and two finger for a zoom box? Or press and hold to slowly zoom in on that spot, a sort of animation. I was thinking about writing a Mandelbrot apo, but this is almost exactly what I woild have done anyway!

Like the topic very much and the app seems to do great job. I wish there was an opportunity of a single-tap zoom, e.g. zoom in by a preset factor (say x2 or x4) nad do so upon one finger tap.

I never got to use it. It's the forced landscape view that puts me off, it is not natural on a phone and hard to use please consider making a portrait version..

Overall excellent app, found a design flaw is the custom gradient editor has all the buttons on top of each other.

No pinch pan/zoom in this day and age?! The only upside of this app compared to alternatives are the many customization options

It's pixelating when literally I zoom in many times maybe there to many other things
