This is probably the worst charging app out there. It starts with the name being unintuive, followed by a complicated registration process. It takes a while to figure out how to start a charge, and then the app keeps throwing error messages. PS: It took me another 15 minutes to start a charge, and that is after spending 15 minutes to set up my account in the first place. Seriously, the worst EV charging app I have encountered so far.

It's ok but the app is missing the most important information, the percentage of charge your vehicle is at. You plug your vehicle in, go shopping or for something to eat and you can not look on the app to see the charge percentage your vehicle is at. You can only view that at the machine. Also on my Samsung S10 phone half the time duration is hidden. The app should show you the percentage your vehicle is at and the cost of what you have used up till then.

Hi. I've tried to use a charge point twice and both times I've got a message like "start point has been rejected". This sounds like there's an error with the charge point but after retrying about five times it turns out that it's to do with the payment card. This is really not helpful. I strongly suggest that if there is a payment problem then the message makes that clear. I stood for about 10 mins in the freezing cold trying to fix an issue which I could have fixed in a minute.

App and local charging point are both very unreliable. After a period of not using it, app now says my password is wrong. Requested password reset email twice. Nothing arrived, even in spam. Tried to create new account but it now wants £10 to create a PAYG account. Suspect they have deleted my account to ensure I pay the £10 up front. But no email from them about it. Most annoying: charge points are unreliable and claim to support contactless when they don't. Customer services not great either!

Very disappointed to be hit with an £8 fine on my first ever use of an EV charger for charging too long! No warning on the machine, only a vague warning on the app about parking overstay charges. Really awful inflexible customer service, due to lack of competition? Beware of details buried in the small print when they could simply say, one hour maximum charge!

There's no counter for how many kWh you've received or the percentage the car started at in comparison to how much I want. These are basic features that other EV charging apps have I.E, Gridserve, Osprey to name a few. Since I can't see how many kWh I've received on the app, how can I calculate the cost? How can I tell if I've been charged correctly? There's also no notice given that you take £50 when charging. Turns out, all of this is given on an emailed receipt.

EDIT: It looks like ESB is on Plugsurfing, so I may try using that app instead. Went through the registration process for a PAYG account. Asks for username/password, name, address etc. After filling that all in, it then REQUIRES you to top up a minimum of £10 to finish the account creation.

Had to top up minimum £10 to access their "free charging". The 20kw charger refused to connect twice so then had to move the car and take up a rapid device. Fortunately it was late so no other cars waiting. When it finally connected pretty decent experience. The chargers themselves not too bad and the app does work fairly well so given 2*.
