A self paced educational learning app that teaches children how to spell more than 500 common English words. The learning process is accomplished in three stages: learning, practise and checking.

The program consists of word sets beginning with easy three letter words and working up to eight letter words as well as theme based words covering subjects such as animals, colors, fruit, shapes, numbers transportation and vegetables.

In learning mode, the program shows a picture of the new word being learnt and the word is read aloud, the completed word is also shown momentarily. Children can then select the letters that make up word with the ability to revisit the completed word as many times as necessary.

In practise mode, the completed word is not shown, but feedback is provided to indicate whether the word is spelt correctly with advancement to the next word only possible when the word has been correctly completed.

In check and test mode, no hints on the correct spelling of the word are provided and all letters of the alphabet are options to be selected.

This app is suitable for preschool children wanting to get a head start on spelling before starting school as well as older children who are already at school and who want to further improve their spelling and word recognition skills.

I like this app. Our daughter is dyslexic and immediately jumped into the learning and testing which showed her she needed to really pay attention and work to progress. However i don't see scores shown to encourage progress. I would also like the option to have the letters read aloud l (and not) in learning mode.

My son enjoys this app because when you get something wrong you don't go backwards to something easier, so he doesn't feel fed up or bad in himself. My son is stronger at maths so I was looking for something enjoyable to build his love for English, I feel I've found it with this app, it's fun and no pressure, so much better for his self esteem, so many teaching apps send a child backwards. He is enjoying it and its lovely to see that, as well as easy to use. Thanks 👍 well worth the money.

This is a spelling game. Practicing was spelled wrong on the 1st screen. I understand there are typos but a spelling typo out of 6 words or so on the spelling game. It should be checked. I uninstalled because of that. I gave 2 stars instead of one because I'm not sure how the rest of the game was.

As for person stating "how serious to take app because practise spelled wrong" . The whole world aint America LOL. THE APP CREATOR IS IN AUSTRALIA. Australia uses the 'S' Americans use the 'C' (Ausi Practise, US is practice). This app is great. My 18 month old has learned many words in 2 months. I say the word 'pen' and he rushes toward our reading chair with great joy. Solid 5 stars. Remember read about the world, study, and never stop learning.

Your App is great bu there one limitation that is it does not sound when we click on a letter i e while writing PEN it should Pa when we click on Letter P, While clicking on letter E it should sound e, while clicking on letter N it should sould sound na, so that children can learn letter and their joining automatically, with out any external help. I hope you will look into my suggestion.

Great free app , there are plenty of words to learn before having to pay £3 for the full 500. My son really likes it. The only thing I'd improve would be more virtual rewards and prizes like stickers etc. thanks

Easy to use graduates from easy to difficult. Navigating through the levels isnt so clear though.

game is good. i really dont agree with having someone with an accent as the one pronouncing the words. the sounding of words comes out differently but i guess how much can i ask from a free game
