Works pretty well yet support and troubleshooting are non-existent! Example, multiple people complain about not being able to connect to a battery via bluetooth. On Android (at least), I've noticed that the BT LED on the battery will light up when you discover the battery via bluetooth scan; goes out when you unpair device. This WILL NOT necessarily allow the battery to connect to the app! To work every time, I needed to allow the permission the app asks for AND turn on location services. As soon as loc svcs was turned on, the app will "see" the battery (BT status LED lights on command, etc.). As popular as it is, you'd think battery support would document this (and other issues). This is with app version 1.04.

The issue is the Blackvue Battery app is unable to detect the Blackvue battery pack when searching via Bluetooth connection. I have the latest version of the app, most updated version of Android on my phone, made sure Bluetooth is turned on, but the app is still unable to detect the new battery pack. My phone is able to find and connect to the battery pack using the Bluetooth settings in my phone. Unable to use the app. Also tried uninstalling, reinstalling app, restarted the phone and battery.

The battery is awesome but the app is the absolute worst. Bluetooth connection is extremely inconsistent. Has to be a bug in the app. Please fix issue . It keeps saying the same message to unregister Bluetooth manually .I follow all directions exactly and still does not work. Tried every trick in the book that I thought of. Its definitely the app.

Had connection issues on the first day but after that it worked as intended. For connection problems customer service suggested uninstalling the app then turning off phone to clear cache then reinstalling the app. I gave it four stars because sometimes it takes a copy of tries before it connects. Other than that I love the app.

Works as advertised but to give 5 stars would be good to add a configuration to shut down after a preconfigured park time, similar to magic pro. You can deplete the battery overnight but a short drive will not charge much, causing a short recording life for the next parking event. Some opportunities here.

I ALWAYS have to turn my Bluetooth off then back on to get this to work if I'm lucky. Returning the backup battery being the app doesn't want to work. This is the reason why I bought the backup battery. Can't even get a reading when the car is off of how many hrs remaining in parking mode.

App is decent when it actually works. 4 out of 5 times, it gives an error about connecting your device manually. It would also be awesome if they gave you the option to read the temperature in Fahrenheit.

This company has completely given up on their apps and customers. It really is a shame because their cameras and battery systems USED to be pretty good. App doesn't work at all. Shows battery but gives no info and disconnects.
