IRControl is an Android app for controlling home electronic devices via infrared. Following devices are supported for transmitting the corresponding infrared codes:

- Global Caché iTach Flex
- Broadlink RM Pro
- Logitech Harmony Hub
- IRTrans Wifi
- IrDroid USB Transceiver
- Sony internal infrared interface (tablets, smartphones)
- Android IRBlaster (tablets, smartphones)

There is also a system interface for supporting the following devices:
- BlueSound Multiroom System
- Philips Hue (LAN Gateway)
- Google Chromecast
- openHAB 2.0
- MyStrom Wifi Switch and Wifi Bulb
- Intertechno energy switch via ITGW-433 gateway
- FRITZ!Box (DECT Devices)

The user interface for controlling your system can be defined freely and can be extended via the integrated Wysiwyg editor. This makes it possible to configure a simple control desktop, which is explained to the user by graphic symbols and only has the control elements which the user needs at all. For graphically less experienced users, predefined layout templates are available.

A highlight is certainly the integration of the Bluesound Multiroom system, which merges the control of your Bluesound system with the control of the other devices to one unit.

IRControl requires a minimum screen resolution of 1200 x 720 pixels. The part of IRCotnrol to makes the configuration is otherwise not useful. It is recommended to use a larger smartphone or a tablet. However, it is possible and makes also sense to design a user interface for smaller devices which you can transfer to it. For devices with small display the execution part of is avialable as seperatre App (IRControl Executor).

This is an incredibly powerful app. There is definitely a learning curve to set it up but the options are almost limitless. I have installed the app on a 7" Samsung tablet with a Broadlink RMPro as the IR/RF sender. I have created custom screens in the app and the whole family can now use the tablet as a user friendly remote control for all our home entertainment devices. I only wish I could add more WiFi devices such as from Sonoff or Tuya but for infrared and RF devices this app is brilliant.

If you get past the learning curve and try this app out - The app is great. My most favorite part of this app is the WIDGET !!! I have control of my home right on my phones home screen. Easy access to automation without opening another app. My equip: Broadlink RM Pro+ /and/ Samsung J7. Thank you developers. //EDIT: If using a Broadlink RM PRO : I suggest that you MAC reserve an IP address for it. I was getting no response from the app because of router DHCP issues relation to the RM Pro.

Super handy to control our University Cinema with IR via Global Cache iTach device and an android tablet running IRControl. Once I got the hang of it I built a custom interface using my own graphics. The film dept. professors now control the cinema projector, A/V components and playback devices from the lectern to rave reviews.
