The Leaf Spy Pro application allows anyone with a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle, Android device with Bluetooth and a supported ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter the ability to monitor their battery and other vehicle information normally visible only to the dealer. With the release of version 0.39.97 LeafSpy Pro now supports two Bluetooth 4.x LE approved adapters. The recommended one is the LELink available from Amazon. Bluetooth 4.x LE has the advantage of not needing to be paired and lower power from both the Android device and the Leaf. The LELink is highly recommended and also works with the iOS version of LeafSpy Pro.

Like so many others, my obd2 scanner works fine with every other app (Inc programming ones for another car), but not with this one. Plus there was no way to even test since this version doesn't have a "lite" free version. So an expensive waste. Please don't publish apps where people have to guess if their device will work or not. And if you do, ensure you have a way for people to test. Fix your product.

EDIT: Feature request: It would be nice to have a graph of the battery temperature over time. This would allow correlation with battery temperature and driving habits etc. Nice app, I now have a silent car no beeps or other noises...so nice! Wondering if it's possible to have doors unlock on both conditions park or ignition off. I don't always press park before turning the car off.

Love the app! Pretty please add the ability to lock the car when turning the ignition on. When waiting in the car I often cycle the ignition with the parking brake on to turn off the headlights. This results in unlocking the doors, but a new setting would make the locking/unlocking seamless in all situations! Alternatively, a setting to make "off" on the light stalk turn the lights completely off (without the rigamarole) would be even better :)

This is a great app for reporting statistics on your Nissan Leaf. The recent update means that it now is more fully featured for 2018 and later models. There are loads of stats reported, the most useful being battery health. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the supporting documentation is a bit sparse. But I definitely recommend this for Leaf owners. Just remember that you will need to purchase a separate OBD2 unit to read the car's data and connect to the app.

Worked fine in my 2021 eNV 200 using a Konnei wifi dongle. Yes, it does have a geeky, clunky interface but it can do very useful things, such as display the precise condition of your battery (Nissan charges ££ for this) and it can turn off those stupid charging bleeps. Yes, it is expensive, but then it doesn't farm any of your data!! Essential if you are buying a used Leaf or eNV 200.

Allows me to lock the doors as soon as I move the car out of Park (or over a certain speed) and let's me permanently turn off the tinnitus-inducing drive sounds. Other tweaks are handy too. There are other things I'd like, but if Nissan don't make them available, there's little an app can do!

Don't waste your money in either of the paid versions. I bought the recommended OBD2 device for the app but the device only connected twice to my phone. Tried deleting then reinstalling the app many times but nothing. Absolutely no support from the developer and it looks like the app hasn't been updated for 2 years now. Google say it's against their terms and conditions to refund the app but the developer doesn't reply. I repeat, don't waste your money, stick with the version.

I can confirm that this app does work with a Galaxy S10 running Android 10, and a Konnwei KW902 OBD scanner. (2013 Gen 2 Leaf) UI isn't great, but all features seem to work well. Can be a little fiddly at time times to get it to pair, but turning Bluetooth off then on, closing and re opening the app and resetting the adapter seems to solve most issues.
