I usually dont wright reviews for apps but I feel like I need to give a bit of a warning for new people. The app works decently but recently there has been a bug for the past year the prevents you from opening your home screen. It will lag and have trouble closing your tab and when it does attempt to go to the home screen, you will be met with a black screen until it loads in or it will straight up crash and you'll have to restart the app. Wait for an update to this app before using

Flickering. I tried this launcher out of fear that I would be forced to switch from my beloved Nova launcher. It's not terrible, but some widgets are completely unusable. On the screen to select a widget and drag it onto the home screen, there is a flicker that occurs regularly, about every 2 seconds. It makes it impossible to use some widgets. This alone is enough to not use the launcher, but it also just feels clunkier, and slightly more awkward. Not to mention the constant pro pop-ups.

From 5 stars to 3.5 - I loved this launcher years ago. I got the premium version and love my setup with covers and folders. At some point though my backed up settings got messed up and many things would change to "name_not_found" and I couldn't find a way to fix it other than starting from scratch. Now for the past year my home screen freezes and I have to fight to get to "restart app" and then the issue is resolved... but I'm ready to switch. Happens 1 to 10 times a day.

I would be more akin to possibly paying for premium membership version if it was a lifetime see you paid only once with action launcher. But it's not. That's one thing. The other thing is, as great of a homework replacement launcher as "Action" is, it does unfortunately have a glitch; it randomly populates duplicate icons of your installed applications within both the app drawer and the folders, both system created and the ones you made. I am constantly having to remove these. Fix & I'll buy!

Used to work perfectly for my needs. Now on my Pixel 8 Pro, running Waze causes an issue with Action Launcher, such that there button navigation no longer works and requires a reboot after closing Waze, which isn't helpful. Sent a note to Tech Support but no reply. Will have to look for another launcher. Look elsewhere - there are launchers that work, that don't crash all the time, but this isn't one of them.

Update 9/24/24: not able to restore my previous purchase or even just purchase it a new. Downgrading review Does not work very well on the Pixel Fold. Hopefully developer will work on better and less buggy user experience for the Pixel Fold. Once you start using Action Launcher, it's tough to migrate your whole system away to another Launcher, so either be prepared for the massive effort to get a new launcher or don't buy a pixel fold. No winning answer on this case, unfortunately.

Feels like app has been abandoned. No major update since v50 in 2022. No updates in a year. The app they pimp in settings (swirl wall) isn't even compatible with a pixel 7 (from ~2022). Cannot get app drawer to default with keyboard. All the branding in the app is 2022. App just feels left behind.

Everything is great and it's worth the money. But the supporter-only features are a little bit scummy, although I understand you need to put some incentive. I think the main missing feature in this launcher is the "Work" apps part of the app drawer. This launcher puts all work apps in the app drawer with the normal ones, which is very inconvenient for me.
