How does the application work?
The program displays a random French word, along with its variants and a translation into English (or Russian). A pronunciation guide will also appear under the word to help you learn to say it correctly. The program will keep showing you each French word, until you succeed in learning it. The app considers that you’ve internalized and learned a word after you’ve translated it correctly five times in a row, and will then take that word out of the learning cycle.
The app has a statistics menu which shows how many words you’ve learned, how many words you have left to learn, and how many mistakes you made and are allowed to make before the French words are considered to have been learned. You can reset the data statistics, change the native language of the app, or reset the French language learning process at any time.

very effective. I am not at 300 words (W) yet, but I hope to see 2000 of the most commonly used verbs in French added to the lesson; this could be a level two after mastering level one (300W). I believe this methodology will attract more users and decreases the number of users uninstalling after master 300W.

I'm enjoying it. Seeing the words spelled out and hearing the proper pronunciations are both effective teaching methods. It's also cool that it doesn't need internet. On the negative side: Since I'm English, learning French, shouldn't it show English words and ask the student to choose the correct French equivalent? It just feels backwards. Actually, I would like to have access to both lists - English to French and French to English. That would certainly reinforce retention. Christine

Under rated app, I was looking for something like this for memorising words. Would be good if there was top 1000 words as a level 2. The concept of the app could be applied to many languages.

It would be useful to add typing the words as a test. Choosing from a list of answers is easier and I believe it simulates the short term memory more than anything else.

Great. Simple. Repetitive. Few commericals. Very few, just enough to break up the questions machine gun like drive. Recommend highly. 5☆'s!
