Founded in 1998 (as CIVILS INDIA) by Ramesh Singh, the institute has shining records of its successful students in the civil services exams conducted by the UPSC and various State PSCs (including the IAS toppers with 3rd and 4th all India ranks, many in the top 20 ranks and several top rankers in various State PSCs), Indian Economic Service, RBI Grade B and Other Exams. The name was changed to Ramesh Singh CLASSES (as students started using this as its name!) by late 2016.
Ramesh Singh is endowed with an exceptional quality of simplifying the difficult most concepts of economics and economic diplomacy in a cogent and crystal-clear way (considered among the finest teachers in the country by the students) with a similar command on socio-politics, geography, philosophy, the world of science & technology and other inter-disciplinary issues. He is a prolific writer and has authored several books both in English and Hindi for McGraw Hill Education, including the BEST-SELLER Indian Economy (available in
Hindi and Marathi also), Contemporary Essays, Objective Indian Economy and Social Development, Samanya Adhyayan Paper 1 (economy part), GS Mukhya Pareeksha: Trends & Tips (model questions and answers in Hindi medium) and 1000 Plus Questions on General Science. His forthcoming book with McGraw Hill is Economics for 1-Day Exams.
He has also authored few books on geography (all with Majid Husain) such as- Bharat ka Bhoogol, Bhaugolik Models and Bhoogol Workbook (MCQs)— all with the McGraw Hill Education. He is also a columnist of the popular Publication Division journals Yojana and Kurukshetra.
