After the Reddit API changes saw different apps shuttered, Atom was pretty useful as an alternative to the official app. Now it's been a constant struggle to use the app for longer periods of time when logged into an account. Suddenly losing the basic abilities of using Reddit, connection error alerts when internet connection is good, subreddits turning into private communities... It's not worth the hassle anymore until it's fixed.

ATTN: To the Dev team, waiting for you to resolve this issue below: This has been my absolute fav app for Reddit by far! but lately, it's been giving me trouble with logging into or switching between different accounts. I'm forced to re-enter the password every time and it is ANNOYING, plus the app is locking me out of one account (even though the password is correct, I can login with it to Reddit directly). Can someone plz figure this out, will upgrade my review once it's resolved

Works well any time before 8pm. Unsure what happened a few weeks ago, but any time after 8pm, the app is useless because every subreddit I try to go to says it is private. I go to bed and wake up the next morning and it works again. But, like clockwork, when it hits 8pm, it stops working properly.

I'd avoid this app for now. It has some issues like not loading gifs and descriptions missing from image posts. Those are easy enough to overlook. However, they added banner ads at the bottom of the screen when reading comments and browsing subreddits. These are very obnoxious and in the way. Not worth using until they find a better solution for ads. Editing to add you can purchase an ad free upgrade for 3.50. Worth it if you have the money to spare.

They fixed the previous issue I had of not being able to add a flair. But now I can't log in with my Reddit account at all. I'm only able to browse anonymously, any attempt to log in and allow my account access will bring up an error. I've logged into my Reddit account on other apps and on my browser with no issue but simply cannot login to atom.

App is pretty good when it works, but it only works about 50% of the time. It constantly tells me to "check my internet connection" despite my wireless connection never dropping. Changing from 5G to wifi or vice versa doesn't matter, I just have to wait until it eventually decides to work again. Sometimes it's a couple minutes, sometimes its much longer.

Nicest reddit app that I've found, the UI is clean and like the original. I switched to a different app because of the horrible video player in default reddit. My only problem is when it comes to uploading videos. Pressing the plus in the bottom right doesn't give an option to upload videos. Not too big a deal if you still have reddit installed, or if you're fine using it in a browser. But, it's a big inconvenience just because the option isn't there yet.

Kept receiving an error saying "Check your internet connection" when trying to login. Happened dozens of times. Removed and reinstalled app several times. Even when it allowed me to login and browse, it was temporary as eventually all subreddits would eventually show up as private communities and I suddenly couldn't see anything. It's probably the worst app I've ever tried using. Deleted permanently after far too many attempts.
