Installed easy. Worked great the first time I used it. I would like to know if it is communicating by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or internet. Agree that it would be nice to have Android Auto or other way of putting it on my touch screen in my truck. Widgets are definitely way too large. They should be one by one not four by one. Or at least offer multiple widget sizes. I'm sure the developer is working on it. I do like the app.

Using the app I rarely have any problems other than the occasional freeze up but if I try to use the widget it's always an issue. It used to work periodically with just a regular operation failed prompt, but now it says that I'm not associated with PalGate at all, even though the app works fine. If you could just get a consistent working widget you would easily deserve a 4-5 star rating.

Like a broken watch, it's right twice a day tops. What can I say that's positive about a "security gate" app that's bipolar, sometimes it will allow you to enter/exit and sometimes Not. Quite a few pickup driving neighbors tap the gate with their trucks displacing it from it's tracks. This causes our complex to be left wide open to everyone for several days before mgmt gets it fixed. If it was intermittent I wouldn't bother complaining. This happens at least once a week, ridiculous .

app is a bit slow for something you need to manage while driving, on the multimedia screen of the car, making it my less preferred option, compared to the normal remote. the auto open should have solved it, but it does not work (Pixel 6a) as the app thinks i did not disable battery optimization, when i actually did. This seems to be due to old android setting the app it looking for, that in the latest andoid version on the pixel works a little different

I like the app, now I can open gates without the need to dial to them, which is also faster and can be done while in a call. My ask for the designer is to add a widget in a size of 1x1 that includes a small icon, and a short text below it (like a regular app launcher). Currently the 1x1 widget is just an icon without text which is not informative enough, while I have a 1x1 dialer widget that includes both (that I used to open a gate), and I don't want to replace it with a much bigger widget.

I tried to use this on an older phone running Android 4.4.2. PalGate is listed as compatible with this version and installs ok and works initially, but fails after phone has been switched off/restarted. Palgate tech support has been very helpful but hasn't been able to resolve the issue completely and I ended up having to buy a new phone just to run this app for access to one of my workplaces. The app works fine on a newer phone running Android 8. (Review updated 9 Jun 2019)

App is good, but... I use device linking to link my car tablet, when I do that the widgets on my phone stop working. Furthermore, even when using device linking it requires me to login every 2-3 days and that's really annoying, I arrive at the gate, blocking the street till the gate opens, just to find out I need to login again, wait for the SMS etc.

A great product and a great service. It's a rare combination! The new Google Assistant integration was missing for so long and was finally added. It's working great except for a tiny bug on Google's end. Talked about it with Pal's Customer Services and Support team. They handled it right a way with no delays. Great job!
