Typical mobile game with a quick start, too many bottlenecks past the first sprint, and pervasive microtransactions to bleed your wallet past that. I upgraded my warehouse several times because it's one of the worst limitations, only to have the regular upgrade not increase the slots like it said it should. Pointless. At least it has a neat aesthetic... but then again, if you're looking for a Frostpunk experience, just play Frostpunk. Your money will be better spent.

Recent update made it almost unplayable to people who have already been playing for a while. It's like starting at a disadvantage with all your resources that you saved up gone. Buildings that were in the game one day are no longer in the game. I'm sure if you are starting out a fresh new game, then it will be easier to play, but being at level 32 and with buildings and supplies at 0 is not fun. I may wait for another update to help fix these problems.

The game works pretty well, but the recent game overhaul made everything so complicated. It's a mess of too many resources to manage on a mobile phone, and wants you to pay to play even more now. It was a good game prior to the overhaul, but the bugs, mess of new resources, and reworks have made this an unenjoyable experience. I'm not longer playing this, but I hope it gets better. Back to frostpunk on pc.

Not at ALL like the actual game! Starts out with a good story but quickly becomes a P2W slog. CONSTANTLY shoves purchasable packs in your face. Storage Capacity is ALWAYS an issue, and upgrading your storage is a hassle in and of it itself unless you PAY for the upgrades! Oh, and did I mention that tornados destroy like half your city each IRL Day, so that you need to make or buy tons of Wrenches constantly to fix your buildings? Save your data, this garbage is just a spreadsheet simulator.

Same as all of your standard "free" city builder games, just with a Frostpunk skin. I'm a huge fan of the PC versions, but wasn't 10 minutes into the game before it started trying to stuff content packs down my throat which contained a ton of timer reducers. There's also passes, subscriptions for materials, everything that screams it's going to milk your wallet. I miss the era of mobile gaming where I could pay a one-time fee, get full access, and not be limited to timers and resources.

I was hoping for something like a PC port to mobile. I read the reviews, knew it wasn't going to be that, and figured I'd give it a shot anyways. I'll say right now, it deviates to much from the original to be worth sinking your teeth into. The mechanics aren't similar enough, graphics are, gameplay not so much. Other issues: bad grammer/poor txt/verbiage; Unable to navigate with Samsung stylus (can click some buttons, but not all); all dialogue has to be closed with a button (cant tap txt box)

It's a slow paced game. rush at the beginning and it will be quick to put you in your place. However, overall I enjoy it, despite a few things I would like to see improved or better implemented: key items needed for quests or buildings often feel out of reach without buying brass bars, and being able to directly trade with others would be a nice benefit, as the existing marketplace of sorts is...a bit of a crapshoot at best.

It's not exactly awful, but it's just another base building game that tries to get you to pay for premium currency to speed up build times with a Frostpunk facade. For the devs, my only real complaint that isn't with the monetisation model is that the buildings can be somewhat difficult to differentiate from one another on the main screen.
