Dexcom Follow is the perfect companion to your loved one’s Dexcom CGM, connecting you to those nearest and dearest to you, even when they’re far away. Through secure wireless connections, Dexcom Follow allows you to view and follow the glucose levels, trends and data of your loved ones.

Whether you have a child who is in college, an elderly parent who lives in another state, or a spouse who is going on a business trip, Dexcom Follow is there to keep you connected and informed.

With Dexcom Follow, you can:
• Monitor your loved one’s glucose activity at school or across the country.
• Receive glucose information from up to 10 different Sharers – children, friends, or other loved ones.
• Respond quickly with the help of customizable glucose alerts and push notifications that can inform you when a Sharer’s glucose levels are outside the norm.

I wish this app had more of the features that the G7 app does. That, or allow 2 phones in G7 (in lieu of a receiver). I can't log insulin doses (or even see them!) in Follow. I can't track carbs. I can't scroll through the data points on the graph in portrait mode, and landscape loses the current BG. The functionality of this app, as the parent of a 9yo who must have the main app for us to stay updated while he's at school, is basic: like those "following" are an afterthought. Do more, please!

Update: STRONG suggestion to please allow the repeat alarm for low blood sugar to repeat more than just every 30 minutes. If blood sugar is low for my loved one I would like to be able to be alerted every couple minutes! Update: they fixed the compatibility issues for google pixel. I get notifications but no sound. I want to audibly hear the alarm when glucose goes above or below a certain amount. The settings say they should but they don't.

Really not impressed with dexcom as a whole. Only 2 out of 5 sensors used so far have been accurate and lasted the whole 10 days. And the follow app doesnt refresh itself unless I open the app and it reloads. Luckily the alarms still go off but I would like to he able to drag down the bar from the top with the updated number. But it won't update unless I click on the app. Update: The app will randomly stop working and you can't see who you're following it freezes and doesn't update

This app needs an update to allow us to choose a picture for the person we're following. The app gives an error that we "need to allow Follow to access storage to set Sharer image". However, storage isn't an option in the permissions list so we cannot grant the permission to allow us to set a picture. The app also uses multiple GB of storage space which is ridiculous. We can't even go back more than 24 hours in the history, so what is taking up all of that storage space?

So far, it's not a good track record. In the 9 days we're have been using this , we have experienced 4-5 "no data" episodes of longer than 1 hour per 24 period. Samsung S21, One UI 6.1. Android version 14. Excellent wifi. This is our first experience wearing a monitor. It concerns me how unreliable it is.

Was working for weeks. Now it tries to open and just immediately closes. Also, the [delegated] caretaker-follower[s] needs more information than what is shared from the patient's app. And don't uninstall/reinstall to try and fix it, unless you are able to get your Sharer to invite you again to be a follower. This isn't a huge problem if your Sharer is not technologically-challenged, or you live right next door, but if you're across-state and your Sharer can't work a phone app, good luck, Buddy.

I understand that my Android based phone has not been tested by Dexcom. Clicking the "I understand" button after the initial installation is sufficient. If you want to continuously remind me, how about placing a banner at the top or bottom of the app, rather than stopping any and all notifications and monitoring until I click "I understand" again. My phone is only two years old, it's not that antiquated. I've removed computer viruses with better stability than this app. It's appalling.

The Dexcom app is absolute garbage. It is completely unreliable. My wife has invited me to follow her a dozen times. It'll work long enough for me to forget about it (I'm only worried about alerts) and then it'll stop following her. The Freestyle Libre was leaps and bounds better, but we were forced to switch because our insurance no longer covered the Libre. Cue the automatic response that says they want to SOUND helpful without actually reading the issues and fixing them...
