Summary: DO NOT BUY DOD!! Waste of money!! Doesn't connect to the camera when there are a decent number of saved recordings. Camera starts recording after connection and stops settings being saved. Camera hardware itself is rubbish - parking mode causes camera to often freeze and not record unless unplugged, GPS doesn't work, just points to some place in China.

Do not buy DOD products!! The app has become useless. It appears that the app has not been maintain and now does not work with newer versions of Android. Now this makes the camera pretty useless, I am unable to change any setting and I have to take the SD card out and use my computer to get any recordings. DOD support have also been useless at helping with my queries about this issue.

Absolute garbage. The camera is useless without the app and the app doesn't work at all. I can connect to the camera via the cameras wifi which does work, but i am totally unable to turn the 'recording' off to edit any settings but at the same time it is NOT recording at all! Waste of money.

So many issues! Can't collect to the camera, starting recording just as it's trying to read the files. I have to disconnect everything, pull the memory card out. Then it clears everything - which is useless! DO NOT BUY A DOD CAM. GET ANOTHER BRAND WHERE THEY UPDATE & MAINTAIN THEIR APPS!

Do NOT buy DOD dashcams. App doesn't allow the recording to be stopped to enter the settings. App appears to record in loops of 2 seconds, but in fact it's not recording at all. No amount of uninstalling, clearing data/cache or updating head unit's firmware fixes this. This camera is useless like a brick. Developers have not fixed or updated App. I purchased 18mths ago and regret spending AUD$600. Avoid buying DOD anything.

Since the last update of the DOD Dashcam app, I can not go into wireless mode. Even though I have a very strong signal, the app refuses to connect to the DOD Dashcam. Please DOD, fix this frigging app!

On top of the already mentioned problems my antivirus app reported Android/DataCollector.C. i.e. the DOD app collects private personal data. Unacceptable. We paid big money for the device.

Easier to use great app for reviewing in camera videos If you have issues with camera recording when trying to change settings connect to wi-fi as usual then return to app home page tap the video camera icon at bottom this will pause camera then tap settings icon and make your changes.
