Speaking for the free version, it is absolutely terrible. I spent 20mins trying to set things up for an exam tomorrow and after about 20mins my 'trial', which by the way wasn't mentioned anywhere in any obvious way, ran out and I couldn't only use 360p, low quality mode and 15fps while trying to figure out why the quality degraded over time.

Works pretty well, but better with a newer phone. I use a spare Samsung S9 phone. Sometimes a little trouble connecting. Takes a lot of power (which is understandable), phone gets hot when it's in use. And since I only use a spare phone I was able to installed an aluminum computer type heat sync on the back of the phone which helps.

I found DroidCam first and had lag issues (about a half-second of video lag) that I couldn't resolve. Just by luck, I saw a random recommendation in a forum for iVCam, gave it a try, and now my phone works as a really good webcam! I really couldn't be more pleased, although I do have to shut off the autofocus because otherwise every time I move, the picture refocuses - but I can shut it off, so that's no problem! Great app!

CASH GRAB! So it gives you most of the features for an hour, takes away a little, and then takes away more features gradually until you're left with an unusable, crappy program. What's worse is that whenever you try to use a feature, it pops up a 1 click buy buttom. Very sneaky producers. Make a good product and people will buy it. P.S. My five star review was because they have a popup that offers to give back features the program took away for a five star review, only to take them away again.

I bought the paid version of the app and it's been working great so far. I use it via USB cable and I get 0 latency or bugs while using it. That's great! I had one strange problem, though. When I first tried to zoom in within the app in my desktop computer, using the scroll wheel of the mouse like they instruct, my smartphone (a galaxy A5 - 2017) reeboted twice. I don't know if it is still happening and I didn't want to try that again. Another thing: I bought the App here, on the AppStore, but it keeps sending messages on my desktop client suggesting me to buy it also for my PC. I didn't have any problem so far, but it bothers me that the message keeps popping up.

Update to the previous review: I stand corrected. You must enable USB Debugging in developer's options for USB connection to work. It's even explained on their website. Changed to 5 stars. Great app + much cheaper than purchasing a dedicated high quality webcam. Works great with Wi-Fi turned on in the phone's settings. BUT, it is advertised to work over USB too, yet I am unable to get it to connect to my PC over USB only. I purchased the full version only to find out that USB only does not work. Installed it on multiple devices and same thing happens.

Once set up, it is great. Using it over WiFi isnt that good. USB cable is the way to go for perfect, glitchy and latency free video. Setting it up on Android was a bit fiddly, as you need to install extra drivers, and Android is a bit more of the Wild West when it comes to this. I had to go to a Chinese site, translate the instructions and then run Windows in Test Mode to install. Hassle, but since doing that it has been perfect. Way cheaper than buying a 4K webcam too!

It works. You can zoom but you can't pan the screen that you want to capture. You can flip horizontally but not vertically (or the other way around) like you can in the PC client. Settings from the PC client aren't synchronized with the phone app either and makes it confusing at times. Image alterations are too primitive and don't work (not even the exposure parameter). The paywall model that is presented for the app ($10 for 1 phone app and $20 for 1 PC client) are too high and they don't do justice for such unfinished product.
