App could be better. When I specify kwh or time, it never really stops charging. Keeps stopping then starting again. Over and over, and over with dozens of notifications. You should see the charging curves. This must be bad for the relays in the car, and the EVSE..... Trying to report issues within app gives a message "ATENTION: something went wrong". Charger is no longer responding to the electric company Flexibility program CP_PGN_PORTLAND_RESI, PGE Res EV

A potato battery is more reliable. Their interface is busted. But don't worry! Customer service doesn't exist by phone since the direct dial number referenced on the chargers' landing page is out of service. So convenient if your plans include not being able to charge your car! One star because I can't give 0.

Excellent hardware is ruined by software bugs. Since their last software update caused problems for users, Enel X apparently decided it's too much effort to fix the software bugs and instead decided to call it quits altogether. They've completely abandoned their customers and left us high and dry with only a few days' notice of their shutdown. Disable scheduled charging and other restrictions immediately or you may be stuck with an EVSE that doesn't work when you need it after the app is gone.

Fails to update. Does not synch properly to home charging station. Will not manage the scheduled charging per day. I have to wake up every night and fool with it at 12:30 am and manually start the charge. I am actively searching for a new home charger because of these and many other issues. Costumer support does not exist.

Too complicated, frequently crashes, and is worse off for its recent UI overhaul. This app needs to let me plug in to my home charger, and charge during designated hours if a car is plugged in. The setting for that doesn't work. And the other setting requires the user to plug in, open the app and press a button to start. You then get notifications that your session has started when it shouldn't, followed by another that the session is paused. I regret buying this charger, the app is terrible.

Update: This app is going away on Oct. 11 To fix the issue of not resuming. You can reset the JuiceBox to disconnect from the network. I got an error when trying to log in and stop charging my car while it was charging. Now I can't charge my car at all. The old app never had this problem for many years. Now I see why this app has such a bad rating. I might have to buy a new EVSE that is not affiliated with Enel X Way. Please add the notification if a vehicle is not plugged in by a certain time.

This morning I found I had almost no charge added. When I arrived home tonight. I plugged in and could not open the app right away. It appeared to crash when I logged in and when I did log in it failed to connect to the charger. Ever since it became x-way, I seem to be plagued by these type of failures. It worked great for the first year or so before the x-way rebranding. Is it time for customers to unite and try a class action lawsuit?

DO NOT BUY AN ENEL X PRODUCT. They are going out of business in North America and are discontinuing their app support. Older update: Frankly I think the updates have made this app even worse, and I already think it's barely useable. What a downgrade. This app has many functional problems that seem arbitrary. I much preferred the scheduling for smart charging on the old app. This one doesn't work right and it's very disappointing.
