My voice search in Google maps does not work. I continue to get a pop-up window saying connection failure. How can I fix this? I have to type in the addresses versus talk to text the addresses. Woohoo, I found the problem on my own. I no longer need this voice search. Bye, bye!

For those of you reading this, I read that this app is an older version and probably does not work on most modern phones. This app has not been updated since 2011. This would explain why you are having connection problems and unable to use this app to its description.

I'll have to say I use this app a lot and when it's working right and can actually understand what you're asking or commanding it's great but like everything else when it's not it sucks. Overall I would say it works a lot more often than it doesn't that's why I gave it four stars actually someone said this version is no longer supported so I'm not even sure if I'm posting to the right app or not. Just check out the new one then I guess.

Voice search stopped working on Google Maps or in the app itself. After speaking would get a Connection Error about 2-4 seconds later using a Samsung S10e. After uninstalling Voice Search I was finally able to once again use Voice Commands in Google Maps.

Ok is it effective and efficient service?yes it makes me simplify oral communication to Google for assistance as well as saving my spenses while taking or wanted to know or search things from my phone device. it's the quickest method of technology in today life style globally, and also an Avenue to know identify whose voice had called me. This is the old voice search that's no longer supported, if you want it to work, get the Google app and update the app and it will work. If you got android 4.0 it won't work because it's end of support.

App has ceased to function since latest firmware update from Samsung. Has absolutely no use at all since it shows errors after each use. S8 Way to go...

i dont like having this on my phone because I never use it but other google products demand it too many times per hour that it gets overwhelmingly tedious to click (tab) away the demanding tabs,so to live somewhat normally im forced by google's apps to have it on my phone,they gang up on me demanding this app that I dont want. Its my phone,I cant stand how google apps riot on my phone to make me do things I dont want to.
