Freshtime Mobile™ is Infratab’s Android application for interacting with Freshtime® sensor tags and recording shipment-related events. It is part of the Freshtime system — Freshtime tags, Freshtime Go™ dashboards, and Freshtime Cloud Services — which together collect, exchange, analyze, and report real-time data about the temperature and condition (freshness / shelf life) of perishables, the spaces in which they reside, and the trips these perishables take. The app provides up-to-date status and historical records of the freshness and temperature of a Freshtime-tagged item. It also enables users to add pictures and comments, and to scan QR codes and barcodes that are linked to Freshtime-tagged items.

With Freshtime Mobile installed on an NFC-capable Android phone, users can interact directly with Freshtime sensor tags. Typical actions include enabling, starting, stopping, adding checkpoints, and reading tags, as well as associating events such as handovers, inspections, and grouping or ungrouping. These interactions make it possible to build a trusted event history for each shipment.

On smartphones without NFC capability, Freshtime Mobile continues to provide event features. Users can scan QR codes or barcodes, take photos, and add comments. All of these inputs are automatically associated with a Freshtime tag ID and can be uploaded to the Freshtime database for analytics and reporting.

Freshtime Mobile also supports voice commands, allowing hands-free operation of common tag actions and events. This improves usability in warehouses, cold storage, and other busy environments.

When events are synced, they are stored in the Freshtime database and inserted into a blockchain network. The app shows blockchain insertion status — success, failure, or pending — giving users a tamper-resistant layer of traceability. This ensures event histories, freshness data, and condition records remain secure for compliance, audits, and accountability.
