Our research platform is built to give you full control over what information you share with us and how we use it. As a member of the panel, you will be invited to participate in research studies and get paid for each study. In addition, if you live in the US, you will earn more if you allow SavvyConnect to collect data about your web browsing and app usage. This may qualify you for additional research studies.
THIS APP USES A VPN SERVICE
SavvyConnect collects information about what websites you visit using your web browser. We turn this information into insights into your browsing behavior such as websites you visit, searches you make, videos you watch, and products you shop for. We share those insights with our clients, who use them to improve their apps and online offerings.
To collect this information, SavvyConnect uses a VpnService that establishes a Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel to VPN servers that collect web requests while adding an additional layer of security to your sensitive information.
THIS APP USES ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES
SavvyConnect can now also optionally collect information related to your online shopping and media consumption, such as products you purchase, videos you watch, and ads you see.
We turn this information into insights around these activities and share those insights with our clients, who use them to improve their apps and online offerings. To collect this information, SavvyConnect will establish an Accessibility Service that allows it to view interactions and content displayed within other apps.

2 complaints: 1. payment by check (sure at one time I read they were going to add Paypal) and have had this app for 2-3 years and still not available. Not having a car makes it difficult to get to bank 2. VPN keeps disconnecting even though it's setup in my settings to be always on. The good thing is, even though I don't always get credit for everyday it is enough to where I get paid every month. I don't do surveys, very rarely qualify and pretty sure I know why but out of this app's control.

Great! until... a particular update added a listening app that kills battery life and now conflicts with data connection, making it impossible to use any browser as well as most other apps installed! I have installed/uninstalled several times on multiple devices and also tried using different browsers, apps etc. etc.; made no difference. Quite unfortunate, as this make it not worth keeping on mobile device/tablet. Please fix this issue, as it is obviously and severely skewing your credibility!

They used to pay you $5 per device. After years of paying $5 they lowered it to $3 per device. I am confused as to why they would think paying people, especially long time users, less money is good. You would think the pay would increase. I have been using this service for over 10 years. They still will only pay you in check form. I used to love this app, but I'm pissed that they cut my pay. And I never qualify for surveys. EVER. ValueMe pays $5 a month and sends it through PayPal.

Ever since the last update, it causes network connection errors with multiple apps. You changed how the VPN works on conections, and that's what the problem is. My banking software says it detects an untrusted Network and other apps or websites just give the message of network error. Whenever the program is not active in the VPN is not on, everything works fine. After years and years of using this app I now have to uninstall it because it crashes and no longer works with any of my other apps!!

Original review - 8/2020: Great to earn a few bucks but constantly stops. Always have to ck. and make sure hooked up to get credit for time. Kicks u off on a regular basis. Update - 1/13/22: Yes, app still disconnects often enough for me to be writing about it. I have to re-connect continuously throughout my phone use time and I'm noticing upon checking status that I am not being credited for many days of the month that I am actually on both tablet & phone. So, of course, I'm not getting paid for that time on. If you don't mind constantly making sure that you're showing as connected under status in the app, it's a great app. If that might be a headache for you, OMG don't even bother with this.

When I first moved from the smart app Savvy worked great. The past two weeks (give or take) I've had to pause the VPN so I could get to my bill pay sites. When I tried to get to them with the VPN running I would (and still do) get error messages saying the website isn't safe. I'm trying to pay my bills going to websites I go to every month. I also get the error message randomly on other sites as well. Considering that I use the internet from home to do 100% of my job this causes real issues

EDIT 5/23/23: It's somehow gotten worse. The app doesn't like more apps like Duolingo (which almost cost me a daily lesson), Discord, Reddit, and possibly Blockchain. I'll have to double check if the last two were just flukes. VPN pausing in 5-min bursts just to get anything done is very disruptive. Tired of this. Uninstalling until a later update.

It drains my battery from 100% to zero in about 6 hours all by itself. The last version at least allowed you to stop 'background listening' which was useful overnight when sleeping. Instead I woke up today with my phone having no battery after being fully charged before I went to bed. Although the app still skate to have this option, after this update it keeps immediately turning it back on! Also the app itself stops nearly every app from being able to communicate to the internet and web browsing takes about 20 times longer to load on Chrome browser (which is actually the only thing that did still work when savvy connect is running). In conclusion, the app seriously needs updating/fixing in light of all the above else I will have no option but to uninstall and bow out of the programme.
