STEINS;GATE is the second collaborative work between 5pb and Nitroplus with a science-fiction/adventure theme.
Released on October 2009 for the Xbox 360, it won the highest Famitsu Award (Japanese video game magazine).
Later, the game was released for the PC & PSP, along with additional merchandise such as spin-off video games, character songs and drama CDs. The series has sold more than 100,000 copies.
An anime adaptation began airing on April 2011, and it is becoming increasingly popular.
The story found in STEINS;GATE is not your usual time traveling fare, but is a "hypothetical science adventure" focused on the structure of time travel itself.
Many of the situations and scientific concepts referred to in the game have been plucked from real science; the story-line is therefore credible and intellectual stimulating for players.

This game is basically a visual novel with some interaction. It's extremely well done, including the English version and wording. It's both hilarious and interesting. The only issue I have is it gets you quite far into the story, then asks you to buy the full version and hey, you really WANT to but then you see the cost...$30 CAD? As much as I want to find out what happens, I can't justify the price tag.

Get the Steam version with the CoZ patch instead. Steins;Gate is an excellent entry into the SciADV franchise. It's just unfortunate, that this experience is lacking much of what makes the other ports good. There are no lip flaps to match the voice lines, and your performance may vary greatly. I tested it on a OnePlus 9, and I got FPS readings varying from 13-60 FPS, with rising temperatures. A Snapdragon 888 shouldn't be breaking a sweat at a game designed to run on phones from 10 years ago.

Finally they've released this game in English. However it has the same exact bug that the original game had with the English patch. Where the English words split and break at the end of each line down to the line below if there is not enough space for that word. Seems like a simple fix. Please fix it. Also on a side note to fix the frame reissue you just have to adjust the word speed each time you open the game. Then the frame rate will be fixed but you have to do this each time you open it.

Folks in the reviews were really expecting this game to be released for free, huh? It's a 620k word visual novel... and it literally says "in-game purchases" in the app description. That said-- it's really good and this is an okay way to experience the story. If you want to play it in English, you're going to have to do some legwork on your own. This port isn't PERFECT, but it's mostly the menu buttons being tricky. Nothing that would ruin your experience.

the game is quite good since am a starter to the game and i have this issue where the phone keeps sliding randomly which i can see then after it happens multiple times it will crash the game so in my problem is i really cant play the game for too long but hey the game is going in smoothly tho the intro of the game is quite laggy overall game is good its just the phone bug that bothers me since it keeps crashing the game hopefully u fix this soondr thank you.

So far so good, running it on pixel 4a. It is just a little laggy loading the words but otherwise perfectly smooth. Didn't need to patch words are in English. Voice acting though is just like the pc version that being in Japanese.

The game is a fantastic visual novel that pulls you in but I have to give only 3 stars because the game requires you to purchase it after the first chapter and this is not in the description. As for those of you that cannot read Japanese, there is a translation for the game out there. Just google it, get the files, and it is a simple copy + paste job from there.

I really wanted to play it, unfortunately It says that only older versions of android are supported. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to open the game with English but... ;,,,; not the same! One of my Steam friends is so loving this game so I was hoping to play it (on my Samsung Galaxy S10E)
