I love the app! Its amazing at reading handwritten notes, as well as digital text/math print. I have not had an issue with the desktop app yet. However, I have had issues with this app when taking pictures even of properly laid out digital print math equations. BIG issue: when taking a picture of any math equation it will ALWAYS leave out the "+" or "-" sign. Most noticeably when I use Wolfram Alpha. Phones specs are: Galaxy S8 Model # SM-G950U Android Version: 8.0.0 If you fix this small issue, I will give 5 stars! P.S. I would love it if the desktop app had the feature like the Iphone app has, to send the data from phone to desktop, that would be invaluable!

this app has some potential, but currently is unusable. i have very neat writing and absolutely couldn't get the app to recognize \sin\alpha \cos \beta. Either factor alone was fine. Together was impossible. Similarly with \sin(\alpha + \beta), the app never saw the +. I would have loved for this to work, but it is just too early.

The conversion to Latex is fantastic. It does make some mistakes, but it's pretty good on most things. The only issue is that the camera work is a bit fiddly. It would be better to take the photo first and crop later or to be able to use previous photos.

It demands the access to the camera and album to start working. What is more, even if these permissions are given, you must take a picture of some equations to use it. That means you can not type your own questions without taking a picture. Later I found it is just a simple collection of three independent websites or tools: SymPy, Desmos and Wolfram Alpha. It contains no original work.

Not the same app as the desktop version, for some reason it works with photos only, how about you add the same functionality for pdfs that you read *gasp* on your phone/tablet.

it would be much more useful if it can read from already taken picture. it already request media permission, don't understand why is not using it.

Awesome app. Would be lovely to have a tool to generate a combined Latex output by taking several photos.

This app does NOT work at all. Try the "Snip" app by Mathpix instead. I have no clue why this is even still listed on the play store.
