1. Drives
A drive is either a local storage unit or a cloud storage service where your files and data are stored.
Sync supports the following drives:
- Private Drive: In-app storage drive
- Local Drive: Internal drive
- External Drive: Removable, USB drives
- Amazon S3
- Dropbox
- Box
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Google Drive
2. Source:
A source is a local storage unit that supplies files for upload to other drives and also receives files downloaded from them.
Sync supports the following sources:
- Private Drive: In-app storage drive
- Local Drive: Internal drive
- External Drive: USB drives
3. Task:
File transfers are organised into tasks. Each task consists of one or more sources and a target drive, allowing you to run sync, backup, or restore operations. You can create multiple tasks, and each task can include multiple sources.
4. File Transfer Operations
A task can perform the following operations:
- Full Sync: Compares and synchronises files between two locations. Deleted files in one location are removed from the other, while new files are copied across.
- Backup: Uploads files from local storage to a cloud storage drive.
- Restore: Downloads files from a cloud storage drive to a local drive.
- Backup Sync: Uploads only changed files from sources to the destination drive.
- Restore Sync: Downloads only changed files from a drive to the target sources.
5. File Manager
Sync includes a built-in file manager that lets you browse, upload, download, rename, and delete files and folders on your drives.
6. Web Server
Share local files and folders over Wi-Fi. Features include selectable files and folders, folder listing, automatic serving of index.html, custom document root, partial content support, and auto-start on launch.

I generally agree with the other reviews that you need to be able to try this without paying. I didn't get off the starting blocks with this app as it asked for payment to add a local drive on my phone, and that's just setting up the origin folder without even adding the destination. That's a pity as I won't be trying this out and it looked like it had the features i might be looking for.

Looks like an interesting program but you have to pay $4 just to see if it does what you want. At this point, you have so much of it behind a paywall, I can't tell if it does what I need. My advice would be to have the program allow you to set up a local sync and tell you what it would do, but no actually do it without the payment.

Backup copies EVERYTHING, overwriting existing backup. Copying files is s-l-o-w. File dates and times are not preserved, all files are set to current date and time in both source and destination. Copying via default file explorer/manager is faster.

I'm completely against that you have to PAY to Sync in every single similar application. I pay for my Cloud Storage and then I should be paying for someone's application to move files into my own Cloud Storage I already pay for. Come on... FolderSync is free for this purpose. Think about it in this way that you scare a lot of people away with this. Your income is zero what comes to these people. If you place friendly ads in your application you gain continuous income of people using it.

I'd happily pay for this if it worked but not paying just in case. You need to have at least a 7 day trial.

It's all paid features and ridiculously short trials...

Should not have to pay for an app to control how Google Drive functions

Couldn't see if it worked for what I wanted as to backup to Google drive you had to pay
