the ads are getting more and more frequent. I used to be able to play for at least five minutes with just one ad and that used to be the baseline of mild annoyance. it's a good app and I like the daily challenges and custom difficulties but the ads have been obnoxious. the last few times I've opened the app I'm stuck with "skippable" ads between every single puzzle, even if it was only a minute to solve. makes me feel like I'm playing a bottom tier money grabber.

This is my favourite solitaire app, and I really like that it can carry over between PC and my phone. I want to give this 5 stars, but there are just too many bugs. First the app kept forgetting that I'm a premium subscriber and showing me ads, and I had to restore purchases multiple times a day to fix it, then it started giving errors when I tried to restore purchases, and now the game crashes before it even gets past the loading screen. So disappointing.

This used to be a great app... But for a while now it forgets every second day latest that I have a subscription and starts showing adds again. Of course I know that I can "restore purchases", but how about not forgetting it in the first place? When in rural areas with weak signal this amnesia comes more or less instantly. And of course I also have the instant app crash on startup since a few days. Setting the phone in flight mode helps, but then my highscore is gone and I see adds again...

Update: Still crashing and refusing to open for no rhyme or reason. At this point I'm about to request a refund for premium. This app crashes constantly. Here lately I can't even get it to full open/load. I've tried uninstalling and still won't load fully. When it works, it's great! Exactly what you'd expect from Microsoft Solitaire right on your phone 👍🏻

EDIT: I've played the challenges every day since 2018- love this app. I lowered my rating to 1 star because- out of nowhere- it keeps crashing. This is extremely frustrating while in the middle of HARD or EXPERT games and all progress is lost. PLEASE FIX! PREVIOUS REVIEW: Consistently one of my 3 favorite apps. I really like the 5 daily games + playing in the competitive games too. Great game!

Overall I like playing free cell. Ads are ridiculous, monthly subscription or endure ads. Also recently the app keeps crashing. Must delete app files login again and setup everything again. Also the app forces sound. if listening to music it cuts out when the app loads. I don't want any sound at all. should be an option to completely turn it off.

Since February 18, 2025 the Microsoft Solitare Collection has had 2 periods where it kept crashing on my Samsung Flip 5 phone. Each time, I noted this in a review and it was fixed within a few days. This Collection is the best thing that Google Play offers. I have tried other Solitare games and there are just too many busy & noisy ads for games that I am not interested in and that break my concentration in the game that I am trying to play. I throughly enjoy my time in this Collection.

I love solitaire and generally enjoy this app, but I'm beyond frustrated with: 1. Ads still playing even when paying for premium. They recognize it enough to put it in their FAQ but not enough to fix it for their users 2. I made a custom theme forever ago, and since the last update it is refusing to keep my theme and not only switches back to default but also fully deletes my custom themes. 3. When I click support through the app it takes me to a third party site where I can't click anything.
