Disappointing and not worth your time. If your goal is feed it novels and other recreational reading materials, just get the audiobook version. Unless you sell a kidney to cover the yearly subscription fee, this app is only going to read the first 100 words to you, in a very lacklustre way. Plus, you're forced to create an account -- giving them your personal information. Not to mention, it's glaringly obvious that their positive reviews are paid for. We all need to report them for that.

Part of my work in a pharmaceutical company is to read medical journals related to our studies. Typically, some journals contain more than 50 pages, so I don't have time to read them all. But with this app, I can listen to the content being read aloud while I enjoy my meal or do something fun like drawing or working out. The voice coming from this app is very clear, and it pronounces medical terms correctly.

The word limits are far too low for this app to be helpful. The more you use it, the more you pay, which very quickly makes it an unacceptable cost. I also didn't see an honest and up-front cost breakdown before downloading, but it seems you can read 100 words as a "guest", 300 words once creating an account, and any more requires that you drop cash. So unless you're ONLY interested in having it read one paragraph to you, don't even waste your time downloading this app.

I am a literary agent who reads a ton of submitted manuscripts and client projects a month, and initially thought this was a perfect solution. The TTV sounds brilliant, totally normal, and would have been something I could invest in if it wasn't for the pricey subscription cost with limits on how much you can listen. If there was a one-time lifetime fee, I might come back for this app, but until then this is just too restrictive for my needs presently and my search continues.

There are two voices (one male, one female) that sound really good, all things considered. However, there is no Unlimited Reading Subscription option, which I would happily pay extra for as I work 70 hours a week and would like to listen to various things during that time. Also, I wanted to test it out so I only got the Gold Subscription, but to upgrade offered no prorated discount. Great app, terrible options. If you don't read much, it's worth it, but for my purposes it's rather lacking.

The natural voice aspect of it is wonderful. But the rest of this app was very disappointing. You Only get 200 words for free, then a subscription is required. The prices aren't labeled anywhere in the app. I was unable to use the feature of changing the voice or the speed. There is a free option for more than 200 words, but it is not in natural voice. Most phones already have that feature without an extra app. Uninstalling now.

The voice is better than speechify. But you have to use the time thingy to move to certain parts of the text (which is really hard to find) rather than tapping the screen at the words you want to start with. Doesn't make sense. Also $120/year for the full package for an underdeveloped app is ridiculous! I'll wait for this to be more developed but not on my dime.

They use books as an example for how much each subscription tier can be used, but the experience of using this to listen to books isn't very good. The highest subscription tier's max word count is still shorter than the chapters in some books. When you paste in something over that length, they just truncate it and throw away the rest. You can't even listen to one chapter while having it record the next. All that said, the voices are pretty good, so far as tts goes. It's also a bit buggy.
