Connect Four is a classic connection-based strategy game typically played on a 7-column by 6-row vertical grid. Two players alternate turns, with each player assigned a disc. On each turn, a player drops one of their coloured discs into any column of their choice, and the disc falls to the lowest available space in that column due to gravity.
The objective is to be the first player to form a continuous line of four of their own discs. This line can be achieved horizontally (four discs in a row), vertically (four discs stacked), or diagonally (four discs connected diagonally in either direction). Players must think strategically about both creating their own winning opportunities and blocking their opponent's potential four-in-a-row formations.
