Android App Analysis and Review: Pulse Range Monitor & Alert, Developed by Bits Squad. Listed in Health & fitness Category. Current Version Is 2.2.4, Updated On 09/07/2025 . According to users reviews on Google Play: Pulse Range Monitor & Alert. Achieved Over 1 thousand Installs. Pulse Range Monitor & Alert Currently Has 104 Reviews, Average Rating 4.1 Stars

Pulse Range Monitor notifies you by beeping and(or) vibrating when you exceed your personalized upper and lower heart rate limits and thus helps keep your heart rate in the desired range.

So, you will always know that your pulse is correct during your workout. You can exercise in needed heart rate zone without having to constantly look at your mobile or watch.

You can save the current session to a CSV file for later viewing, analysis or sharing.

You can continue training with your favourite running or fitness app, mobile version of Pulse Range Monitor runs parallel in the background. When working in the background, the mobile app displays a corresponding notification.

Mobile version of Pulse Range Monitor requires external Bluetooth or ANT+ heart rate sensor. Like Polar, Garmin, Wahoo, etc.
The app has been tested with next BT heart rate sensors:
- Polar H9, H10, Verity Sense, OH1+
- Wahoo TICKR, TICKR X, TICKR FIT
- Fitcare HRM508
- COOSPO H808, HW706, H6
- Morpheus M7
- Whoop 4.0
- Scosche Rhythm+2.0

(Please email the developer if your sensor is not supported or does not work with the app.)

Many sports watches (including non-Android ones) support the ability to broadcast heart rate. You can broadcast heart rate data from your sports watch and thus use it as a heart rate sensor.

The app supports Wear OS. The standalone Wear OS app does not require connection between mobile and wearable device, but can broadcast heart rate data to mobile app for detail analysis if necessary. Settings required for calculation calories burned and goal alerts are synchronized with mobile app.
The Wear OS app version can use internal or external bluetooth heart rate sensor.

I've been using this app for a month and it's exactly what I was looking for after trying several others. While it's meant for tracking exercise sessions, I'm using it to keep track of suspected POTS heart rate spikes, gathering data I can take to the doctor. The alarm feature is what really sold me. It works well with my CooSpo HRM(s). It's helping me learn how to pace and which activities are energy drains. And Eugene is helping figure out a minor bug too. His customer service is awesome!

Functions quite well. Either beeps or vibrates when your heartrate goes outside the range you select. You can choose between a beep and a vibrate - there are no other sound options and you can't change the volume. You can make whatever custom heartrate range you want. You have to use a slider for the numbers, you can't type them, so I expect it could be tricky if you have fine motor difficulties. Not perfect but a reasonable price and functional for what I needed.

This app works so well with my Polar Sense armband, and I honestly only have one complaint, which is that the recording function does not work properly and won't show any of the values or graph. It always says "2_The order of values is not correct..." I want to use this function to record health episodes for my doctor. Other than that this app is the best I've ever found for 24/7 heart monitoring and alarms.

Nice and simple, doesn't require an account. It would be even better if you could customize the sounds. It just uses really ugly beeping sounds without any options to substitute or modify them. Voice prompts should be an option as well ("heart rate below target," etc.). EDIT: Say, since you read these reviews, perhaps consider also adding a volume function for the app? Using it while also listening to music, wow, that beep is really loud.

I have a diagnosed, but uncontrolled heart problem, where I need to know every single beat that is out of a specific range, this app works if you're looking for something to tell you the second that your heart rate is out of range, this is the one.

Excellent app. My only complaint is that the out of range alarm turns off after about 5 seconds, ( in beat for beat mode) even though the heart rate is still above the high setpoint.

Exactly what I wanted, to have a graph of my heartrate all day and be able to keep that information away from online services. If I can request something please have this optionally integrate with Google health connect and a screen widget! Thanks

The app does its basic job. However, I was looking to track my heartbeat while I'm sleeping and alert me with vibration and sound if the pulse is beyond a range. I'll update my stars to 5 when the app can detect my sleep activity automatically (based on movement) and make the app active. If I'm running and it exceeds the range in this mode, then it should ignore it. Here's an idea for the developer - Include a Mode function with two options - 1. Track while awake, and 2. Track while asleep.
