Trying to get quotes for a few large projects on a house. Seemed to be going well until I noticed the service providers being recommended were a few states over from where I'm located (only a small issue - what's a 10 hour drive?). Also anytime I get a message from a professional via the app I get a double alert from the app & a text message but they can only see my reply if I send it in the app? (annoying). Will be going back to Google for future needs.

I liked this app a lot... When it worked. But most of the time it just would not let me do anything without popping up random errors. Couldn't attach photos or notes to an existing project, tried to start a new project and it was fully bugged out and would not let me see an estimate. There's no "delete project" button so I tried to mark it as done just to get rid of it and start over but that just made the problem worse. Fix your app angi!!

Super slow loading speeds, glitches repeatedly, app won't let you cancel plans most of the time, or remove your credit card info. Scheduled jobs may show up, or may not, depending on the app's mood. If you have to use customer service, the chat option is sooooo slow, and agents will try to convince you not to cancel or request refunds for no show and may or may not actually do as you ask. Better than the 2 hour wait for phone help, but not much.

It's great that this app helps you to find some local professionals. It has helped me to find some people to work on my home that aren't a big business with a big budget. I've used Angi many times. However, I get unsolicited phone calls from the app customer service if I don't use it or don't hire someone directly from the app??? That's why my rating is 2*

Instead of going forward and becoming more modern , angi is going backwards and is getting more and more outdated and out of touch. If you want a service, but don't book it, they will harass you to death with their phone calls, push notifications, and emails. When you want a swrvice, they dont show you experts in the area, you can't look at their profile, message them, ask questions. They basically want you to blindly book a servive with a specialist they choose. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Sends multiple messages to multiple contractors and doesn't distinguish between them, so you end up corresponding with one only to learn you've already accepted the bid of a different one 'in app'. Duplicates in-app texts with Messenger texts. Refuses to allow attached pictures even though there is a button for it. Just a communications nightmare. Also, I think some contractors are sharing single accounts to run scams.

The switch from "Angie's List" to "Angi" turned the service into a great way to get spammed by contractors. They've made it impossible to actually do any research and instead just send your contact information to a bunch of random contractors as soon as you start looking into a project. There's no way to opt out. I found Angie's List to be a really handy tool. "Angi" is just garbage.

I had Angies list for 5 years. I used it a dozen times with amazing success. I was happy with every company I used. Recently they were purchased, changed how their system works, and changed the name to Angie. I've tried the new system for 2 projects. The results have been poor. It appears the business model has changed. It used to be clients paying to get access to a list of honest customer reviews to make an informed decision. Now, the customers are the business and you are the product.
