I think the overall value, as someone who will only ever purchase lifetime access for language learning, is the best on the Play Store. I purchased Drops years ago because they were the only app offering languages I was interested in, but they only do vocabulary and as a mostly fluent Hungarian speaker, I found many of their translations flawed. Ling seems to not only listen to feedback but also consult native speakers so that the curriculum is correct and relevant. Cantonese is going great!

I used to learn punjabi with ling, it was actually fun and easy for me to remember. All I had to do was watch a few ads to learn. But recently they changed it so you had to get premium. I understand that they need money but that's what the ads were for. Plus people like me who couldn't afford it could still learn, so more people would use it. It was a win-win for both users and ling. Giving it three stars tho for how well it teaches.

I have used many apps for learning the Thai language and this one is my favorite. I love that it uses a combination of different learning styles. It teaches you sentence structure, reading, writing and listening. It might be a little difficult for a complete beginner, as I had experience with the language before. But if you're up for the challenge, I would recommend this app. To me it feels like a game and keeps me entertained as I follow my progress throughout the lessons. Great Product!

not happy, overpriced. There are not many apps for learning Croatian, so I am trying Ling. The free trial seemed OK, so I signed up for the 1 year membership. I now feel that $80 is far too much for what is offered. There are incomplete features, some sections just say "TRANSLATION", "EXAMPLE", as if place holders were put into the final product and they forgot to add actual translations and examples. The voice recognition is pretty spotty. I feel like I overpaid.

Cute design, lots of languages, but cookie cutter courses. Since the courses for all 52 languages are the same, I can't have confidence that the content is accurate nor natural. As this is a major design flaw and not a singular mistake, I would hope that the team behind this app is taking a proactive approach in fixing this instead of solely relying on user feedback. As is, it makes the app feel unfinished. I will happily give 5 stars when all the courses are tailored to each language accurately

I like this app a lot for the diversity of languages it offers, but I have a few suggestions. 1. More interactive lessons/activities. It feels a little bit boring to just be looking at the words and then repeating the same sentences over and over. 2. It would be better to have more types of activity in one lesson, like speaking into the microphone, listening and typing, and typing translations between both. 3. Include grammar and culture notes in each language, or you don't learn to use it.

Note: I was given a premium account for the purpose of this review, but will try to remain totally unbiased I have been a French student for more than a few years now and WOW, this app does an awesome job at presenting things well for beginners. As you get to higher levels the app grows with you. It isn't perfect, and especially the AI has its flaws, but would pay for it if I was a new or returning language learner. Can't vouch for other languages, but French was awesome.

I love this app! ❤️😃 It has a lot of variety! It has Cantonese, Thai, Swahili, Punjabi, and other languages which are often overlooked by language apps. But I think it would be better if it allowed users to test out of easy beginner material. I'm intermediate in both Portuguese and Arabic, and starting the lessons from square 1 feels a bit redundant. If I could take a test to prove I'm intermediate, I could start learning advanced lessons faster 👍
