Fun and informative! I'm learning a lot, and i like a bunch of the dishes options that they have. Edit: Jumping on the "limited daily levels unless you pay us subscription" train? How innovative. 😑

great app! I learn so much every time I hop on. the only thing I wish they would have sometimes is a picture with an explanation of what something is. there are times when it is quizzing on a technique or food that is simply have never heard of. of course, a quick Google search fixes that though.

i love this app! parsnip breaks down every step of the cooking process. recipes can go over ingredients (what to look for when buying, how to store, how to prepare), cooking or preparing processes (mincing, boiling, simmering), and where you have to follow the recipe vs where you can improvise. understanding the WHY behind cooking makes that recipe easier AND helps with similar dishes in the future. I'm very happy with the app :)))

Loving this app! Very informative and fun. I'm finding that I learn new things even about aspects I thought I knew well enough. It would be awesome if there was a way to separate the dishes you learn about based on ingredient groups or diets (to filter out things I'll probably never cook if the main ingredient is something I don't eat).

This app teaches you cooking principles that you can apply to any dish. The quizzes are short and fun. The recipies are generally a bit complex (but there are still a few simpler recipes available). There aren't a lot of recipies but that isn't a problem because you can apply the skills you learn to any recipe (in theory, I haven't actually made anything yet). I wish It would give you a bit more of a push to make your first recipe once you've completed all of the quizzes for it

Stellar idea for an app. I've been cooking professionally for 6 years, and this is actually a very nice tool for keeping your knowledge sharp. It's kind of a duolingo for cooks. Definitely needs more content, and there are definitely a few head scratcher questions here or there where sometimes the answer isn't fully correct, but few and far between.

Not sure what quizzes on grocery items has to do with improving... one question was "how much milk fat is in cream cheese?" Like who is walking around with that useless knowledge in their heads? Then there are quizzes on skills which is marginally more useful. Other than that it's just normal recipes I could get anywhere.

Doesn't really "teach" much, and it feels bad taking a quiz on something you aren't yet familiar with and then being condescendingly scolded by the app for not knowing it. It's neither fun nor particularly educational. The recipes are alright though.
