PoolMath makes swimming pool care, maintenance and management easy by tracking chlorine, pH, alkalinity and other levels to help calculate how much salt, bleach and other chemicals to add. Keep swimming in your TroubleFreePool with Pool Math.Crystal clear algae free pool water is what Trouble Free Pool Math is committed to. Pool Math performs all the calculations you need to keep your chlorine, pH, calcium, alkalinity, and stabilizer levels balanced.
Why choose Pool Math over the others?
Other apps claim to make testing easy by using test strips and your phone's camera. Unfortunately, this is simply too good to be true. Test strips are notoriously inaccurate and end up costing you much more money in both chemicals and the tests themselves in the long run. Trouble Free Pool believes using a proper test kit is much easier, effective, and economical in the long run.
By following these calculations the pool owner achieves and maintains crystal clear water without reliance on the often unproductive advice and unneeded trips to the pool store.
Pool Math's great features include:
• Calculators for pH, Free Chlorine, Calcium Hardness, Salt, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Borates, CSI
• Track Maintenance: Backwashing, Vacuuming, Filter Cleaning, Filter Pressure, SWG Cell %, Flow Rate
• Track Chemical Additions
• Bleach Price Calculator - Find the best deals on bleach easily
• Summary page with test and chemical log insights and totals
• Data backup / Export
Premium Subscribers get access to these additional features:
• Unlimited Test Log History Storage
• Maintenance Reminders
• Cloud Sync/Backup
• Sync across multiple devices
• Unlimited Pool / Spa Configurations
• Test Log CSV Import / Export

This app used to be useful for free, now basically requires a subscription to use. The message prompting you to subscribe explains that the subscription is for unlimited log storage... Ok, don't let me store unlimited logs and let me use it locally only for free. Let me clear my old data if I want (I've looked and see no option for this). But no, that is not an option.

This was suggested in a pool forum for tracking LSI. You need a paid subscription to log more than 1 pool chem reading. Don't bother advertising as a free app if it's essentially functionless without a paid subscription. The endless hidden upsell is so annoying. I logged my current reading, and all values were well within the recommended range, yet I got alerts that several of my readings were too low or too high. Pointless.

I have used this app for years with the paid subscription and now I have to enter all my information again and the app just freezes with a message finding pool. If you leave the app at any time or your screen locks you have to start set up all over again. Nice having to pay for a service that does not even work.

Great app! Just like its name, it does your pool math for you, making maintenance super easy. The free version doesn't let you keep logs, but I don't see a need for that. I just check levels regularly and if anything is out of range, pool math tells me how to fix it. If I had problems with algae or couldn't keep chemistry stable, maybe I would pay to add logs. I think I'd just use a notebook! Free version is all I need :) Thanks you!

Good app for keeping track of pool test results. I'm not a fan of the new skin. The old dashboard was better as all values were on the one screen without scrolling. Also give the option for SWG output to be displayed in metric units rather than lbs/day given everything in the pool world is ppm (so much easier). Finally, when entering test results the onscreen keyboard in Android covers the bottom entries so you need to keep minimising the keyboard to access the relevant data box.

When did the days since last test get removed from the home screen? This was very useful at a glance information. It is irritating to have to click into the log list to find this information. Edit: Clearing data and re loading the app solved the UI problem --(days since last test not showing on home screen) Still really wish basic maths were an option with out log in, but this is currently the best app out there.

Great app and great deal. July 27 2024 thank you for restoring the dates on the main screen That's really helpful. I would appreciate it if you could put them back in the history. I use the history to be able to look back a year ago and easily see when I adjusted my salt water generator or even what the temperature of the pool was a year ago. We just showing generic a month ago or a year ago or two years ago it's really hard to see accurate history. Again I love the app and TFP rocks.

I signed up for the subscription yesterday, im paying becauce your website has helped me countless times with diagnostic, repair and maintenance. im still testing all the features included in the app. so far Ive ran into an issue with the summary feature not showing any data. In addition i have a suggestion, in the log feature you can add "Cost" for chemical, utilities parts and so on. I think if possible the summary feature should calculate the total cost for pool maintenance yearly/monthly.
