I liked this app very much, but had to unsubscribe due to some issues: 1. In German, there is a big distinction between formal and informal tones, and since I wanted to learn everyday conversations with friends and colleagues, I needed to learn informal verbs. This distinction is addressed in translators like DeepL by simply clicking on formal/informal button. Tutor Lily fails to continue the conversation with informal verbs even when I explicitly ask it to do so. Not enough characters left :(

It's adware. one sentence spoken one add. I will keep looking. I can't learn with all the interruptions. Not sure how other people are okay with that 🤷 In response to your message, the only reason I downloaded the app is because it stated only "in-app purchases". This is false. It is ad supported and I got an ad on the first sentence. I don't know how people can learn with the interruptions. I am trying something else. thank you

it's not really working for me at all, although it seems more like a malfunction than a feature. I can't get through 5 minutes of the app without it getting stuck on something redundantly silly. I'm losing patience. I can't send a screenshot of the problem here rn so. it says, "Hey, how can I help you with your grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, or pronunciation? 😊" and then the bottom rest of the screen goes white.

The App has a great potential and definitely will be useful for beginners to practice speaking. I have tested the free version for two weeks and noticed that all the conversations come down to the same questions. Basically over and over Lily would go back to the same topics, patterns, questions. In the end, it becomes boring even to have these 10 free questions/answers a day. But my level is B2, I guess for A1-A2 it would be a great practice. It corrects and explains mistakes well.

It was good but for one in Japanese you can't put actual beginner. If you do choose beginner it starts throwing out a lot of kanji and all of the katakana and hiragana. Right off the bat. Speaking practice is one thing but reading Japanese is really hard for an English speaker and takes a lot of practice and this is not beginner stuff. Not only that but it would make corrections to its own voice to text mistakes like adding dashes and pluses. I didn't add those, I just spoke to it.

While the application itself is useful, the process of logging in to it is incredibly long and irritating. The assumption is that we learn even in the short free moments when we have them. But it doesn't work because it is impossible to log in to the application quickly and efficiently. The login process should be immediate or take a dozen or so seconds at most. If I have to wait for logging in even up to several minutes, then of course I give up learning.

I am a french teacher and a student told me he was using this app. Damn, I am impressed. Let's see how it goes, I need to test it a bit more and I might recommend it to my students. I would also accept being contacted by the team for a small exchange about the usage of the app. Edit. I switched to advanced and while Lily's questions "upped in difficulty" the corrector did skip some of my "mistakes". It was about the usage of trop/très. Very good for grammar though

I joined when this was still in beta. It was wonderful. It got in deep conversation about episodes from shows and podcasts I like, and about the art I am making for my family as a Christmas present. The only problem is that when you click translation or explain mistakes it scrolls you up a bit. It takes one second to scroll down and I'm sure this will be fixed soon. Thank you for creating such a fun, informative, helpful app.
