Coverage? focuses on helping mobile bandwidth junkies find cell signal as they roam. Save time looking up coverage on the carrier's websites, compare their claims head to head and better plan your travels to stay connected.
** The carrier's maps in your pocket: This app contains regional level maps based off of each major carrier's data map - as of our last update. Quickly overlay the carriers you use to create your own personalized coverage map on your device.
** No internet needed: Our proprietary compressed coverage maps are stored within the app on your device - no downloading needed! Quickly access where you're supposed to get a signal, even when you have none.
** Urban and rural areas: Maps are at a regional level, and cover the entire continental USA, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
** Carriers included: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish/Boost, US Cellular.
** Canadian Carriers: Bell, Telus, Rogers (optional unlock)
** Know where to roam: view 5G, LTE, and roaming areas as overlays, focus on finding the coverage type you desire.

Coverage FAQ:
Q: Why aren't the maps more detailed or released more often?
A: Our map updates require a lot of meticulous labor intensive processing. The optional HD maps are updated quarterly.
Q: What makes 'Coverage?' unique?
A: There are great apps out there that collect user submitted signal reports - we recommend them and use them ourselves. However, those apps are only useful in markets with an active user base. We took a different approach with Coverage? - we needed a tool to at least give us an idea of where signal should be - urban, rural, and out in the boonies.

The maps in 'Coverage?' are provided in partnership with Ookla, and represent proprietary interpretations of the coverage reported by each carrier. You should not rely on the maps in Coverage to be perfectly precise or absolutely timely.
Ongoing map updates have been free - but to support the ongoing development costs, we now allow customers to subscribe to higher resolution maps that will be updated more frequently.
Coverage does not report or predict signal strength (there are great apps out there for that!). We can make no promises as to where you'll *actually* get signal.. there are too many variables - towers, device, terrain, weather, etc.
So… Got Coverage?

App seems like just an overlay of carrier coverage maps. No detail or levels of coverages. Just shows constant colors. Even though I know I'm in an area where the coverage is low, it shows perfect. What we need is a user friendly app that reports signals and locations from users phones to compile GPS locations coupled with actual real time user cell signal. Oh, and I'm removing this app from my phone. I'll never open it again much less give them money.

Tried trial but could see no layers of coverage. Upgraded to paid US Maps and HD subscription thinking that would help. Still nothing. Closed app, reopened, still nothing. Had to restart phone and then reopen app to get the HD maps to load. However, I still have NO coverage layers no matter what I try. I toggle them on, but they never show up. Keeps acting like I need to buy maps, but then says I already did and the layers are toggled off & don't show. Frustrating waste of money at this point.

We live in southeastern Indiana and am a Verizon customer. We have many areas that simply drop carrier. The app shows constant coverage in those areas that drop calls. It needs to be more realistic and accurate. Great attempt though. There are other apps that I find more useful at this time.

This app is pretty good, I found a bug though that when you rotate your screen back and forth, the coverage areas disappear even though the buttons for LTE etc are all checked. You have to check and uncheck the buttons to bring back the map overlays.

Update: now lte is missing for all states but alaska. Took away even more stars Old review: Inaccurate, shows coverage in many places where there is none. Too broad, one little peep of coverage once in a blue moon and the entire area is marked "good" even if signal is completely unusable.

Accuracy inacceptable. To test the app I was at a known large spot with -110 to -120dB LTE. This translates into intermittend no connection or connection. The app is showing a decent average coverage and does not give an indicator where better signal strength could be found. Useless. Deleted.

Does not show speed/bars. It is just a binary overlay (service or no service). For example, there is not enough service to make a call at my current location, but it shows there is coverage.

I tried out about 5 other coverage apps and found this one to be my favorite one. It is laid out well, easy to understand, and when I had a purchase problem for the upgrade the tech support was swift, helpful, and courteous.
