this app seems to have nailed the hard part, but really could have more features. talking to a French person with this app is more laborious than it needs to be, and can't be done in a car while driving. would love for the phone to have a car mode the following features: * huge button to accept audio input * recognize the audio as English or French automatically, and provide audio translation. then i could have a conversation while driving.

So quick and easy to translate from English to French and back to English or vice versa. With verbal or text input and verbal and text translation, you can read what's being said as it's being spoken. That really helps develop the ear for the sound of the language and improves aural comprehension. This is the best French language learning tool I've seen and also great for "conversation" between people who know little of each other's language.

Suddenly the app doesn't accept oral input in French. It tried to make English words and sentences out of French oral input... I can find no settings that relate to such an issue, so find the app of little use now.

Some words, out of context, will be incorrect translations...try to.give context in your search (a sentence instead if a single word). Also there is a consistent problem with gender. You can type "she" in a sentence but it won't change the adjectives in that sentence to feminine form...so you need to be aware of this.

First your updated version forces me to listen to a commercial for 5 seconds and 5 Seconds is very meaningful when you are in a conversation with some one who has a different language than your own and I don't appreciate that. Your old version was better because as soon as you see the commercial you could close it now we are forced to be interrupted for 5 seconds and there's nothing you can do about it. if you can't fix that I will go to a different application so don't ruin it by force

The app is not working anymore at this point for days now. Till then my rating is going to be this and it might not change till I choose to download the app again. It was great until it stopped working on my phone and my other device. I checked to see on my laptop, still not working. So please fix this. It is a great app while it works.

It has been a good app. I have problems with commercials popping up periodically. About every 5 or 10 words or sentences I put in a commercial pops up.

It WAS Just excellent...... but now! it is a piece of scrap. advertise comes in every 2/3 second, can not read even. apps screen shakes, words moves around, most of the time shows garbage. Does not provid services like before. I was rating it 5 star for while, now came back to 1 start.
