My Galaxy S20 is able to pair Pearl via Bluetooth but the app doesn't recognize the connection and won't 'scan' or 'refresh' while the scale is in Update mode. Cannot update firmware without the app recognizing the connection.

Some information regarding the update process, which is handy. However it will not connect to the pearl scales. Galaxy S10 android with up to date software. The scale connects to the brewing app, just not this app.

Instructions are poorly written and confusing. Pearl app refuses to connect when this Updater is running, so scale is left stuck in Update mode. No advice an how to get out of this. And how do we update to .009? The app info only mentions .008. Note to Acaia: Firmware is important -- please do better in your treatment of it.

Poorly explains the differences between update versions. Seems to connect better than it used to (which was almost never), so generally does what it says in the box

Does not connect to Acaia Pearl scale, honestly it's unclear if the refresh or scan buttons are doing anything. At this point, literally useless.

Confusing - don't use with the Pearl S. This app should be deprecated and its functions merged with the Acaia Updater. Ideally this should all just be a single app, not several.
