It's the most modern method there is to learn Russian for a completely new beginner. I would recommend going through the "Russian Alphabet in 3 hours" first. It's by the same company. The methods used to teach in this app are not at all stressful. They don't make you memorize vocabulary charts. Instead, The language is taught the it oughta be taught. Just give it a try. You'll love it, as do I. Спасибо!

This will be my 2nd trip through the podcast and I'm still picking up great pointers along the way. (Might do a 3rd). Mark's techniques, coupled with some other apps out there that teach you situational words (for ordering specific foods or talking about family) are a great way to start this adventure. I'm limited to when/where I can do my learning and haven't had the chance to take advantage of the additional resources available, but the 30 series free podcast alone is a great place to start.

Made it to episode 15 over the course of a month or so. Was learning very well and the teaching techniques really work, it's not hoakey nonsense. Came back after a break and I find that the video version of all of the episodes has been removed. The videos were a big part of helping me learn as I'm a visual learner. Now that they're gone I can no longer learn and will need to find a new Russian teaching program. This was probably the best one out there.

This free app is excellent for learning the basics of Russian language. I love the listening approach to language learning; is the same way we all learned our mother tongue isn't it?! 🙂 Already learned the Russian(chirilic) alphabet from the app with same developer. I'm looking forward to start the Russian Advanced paid course in the near future. Overall this is a great podcast and app . Also being a native Romanian speaker, I can notice some similarities in the words order in sentences. 👍

This app gave me an excellent experience to learn Russian. I'm forever grateful for the pace and the efficience of the explanations, and how each new word is taught through context. I'm at the 29th out of 30 podcasts, and I'm genuinely disappointed that it's coming to an end as I don't have enough money for Russian Accelerator. But that aside, I want to give my wholehearted thanks for this method of teaching, which have me the opportunity to learn the 6 verb conjugations and base vocabulary.

Gave me the base to learn the language. I like Mark's teaching style and that he explains the literal meaning of things. It's beneficial to have a native English speaker teach you Russian bc they've been through it themselves. To improve the app: make it keep track of the lessons you've completed. Sometimes he was irritating because of the way he views women lol I'm so serious. "No I want to dance!" "Ugh..girls". Stereotypical pics in vids, etc. Makes me feel like a joke. Great otherwise

Deadly boring. It's killed my motivation in 2mins flat. That's exactly how no one should be forced to try to learn a language. The same methode we'd been subjected to in primary school. None of us got anywhere with Russian btw. I love langauges and am still rather keen to learn this one too. I guess I'll need to look elsewhere for a usefull app. 2 stars awarded: 1 for the effort to execute the (terrible) idea excellently and the other for the enthusiastic selfmarketing, which is 90% of 1st part.

Very well done. UI sometimes loses track. UI could also use some features like share, frame by frame, go to chapter or verse. Otherwise, this is the best, quickest, and most lasting learning tool. You will learn without forgetting if you follow its advice and practice.
