The device lacks key features. It shows the child's location on a map but not the user's, unlike Google Maps, which shows both. However, child location updates are often delayed—up to 30 minutes on Fitbit and Google Maps. For a cellular device, this is disappointing, especially during critical moments like bus stop pickups. Additionally, I've received "device off wrist" alerts while the child was wearing it. Does not work outside USA or on WiFi. I regret the purchase, apple watch is superior.

A simple solution to communicating with and keeping track of your kid without all the distractions of a phone or full smart watch. I encourage you to get one of these watches and then quickly realize how even such a simple experience can be distracting (but there is school mode!) and imagine how bad a phone would be. This is a great solution for younger kids (like <15).

Update: Google, you put me on contact with peoywhonsay they can't help with this problem. Useless I clicked the link and the chat person said they don't help with the ACE LTE. NO HELP!!!!! Terrible, charged me sales tax when I shouldn't have been since I live in a non taxable state and I have been trying to get this resolved for 2 weeks with no one helping. Now I'm done and I'm cancelling the subscription for the ace pass and returning the watch. Not worth it.

Great app, helps us keep up with our childs activity while keeping in contact with them. Would love to rate this app higher, but the issue we experienced is with the family quest. The app needs to be actively open to track footsteps. Please enable some sort of 'Adventure Sync' that can track activity in the background. Update: lowered my 4 star to 2 star because of the step counter issue. Went on a 2 hour walk with family. Got done and pull up the app (running in the background) Nothing saved!

It's a great app! We have had it for 1 year and no problems! If you want to contact your child and give them limited access to the internet, this is the way to go! Was skeptical at first but it really works! I would recommend to buy it from the Google Fitbit store and not a second hand party.

Great for kids (games), but lacking parent controls. Pro: promote fitness, easy to text and call. LTE and WIFI options. Kids games. Cons: No geo-fencing or location history. No Bluetooth for Google find me. If there isn't an LTE connection, good luck finding the device. Wifi doesn't auto connect to saved networks when lost LTE connection. Grandmas need to download an app and create an account.. 😂 No video or ability to send pictures (screenshots). Hopefully, future updates brings more features.

After a broad search for a fully independent ⌚️ with LTE abilities controlled by a parent, I finally found Fitbit Ace LTE and this app, and love both! Great for real time location, calls, and messaging. Google can enhance a few areas in the parent app (add satelite view to maps, add location history, integrate data to other platforms like Life360 (already great in Google Maps!), allow MORE than only 2 Parents, dissable all childish games & colors) but those are all nice to have next items.

Overall, it's a great app. My son enjoys the games he earns with being active. The communication and location work well. The only negative is trying to complete family quests. We all have Fitbits, but the quests only track the adults through our phones. It misses a lot. Syncing with our Fitbits would be a huge upgrade.
