Loading ads seems to be the first priority with the app. There's also the notifications that go nowhere. Since the bad reviews go back a few years, you can tell that neither the stations nor the developer care how bad the app is. Amazingly, the latest October 2024 update made the already horrible app even worse. You can't use the share feature because they seem to have forgotten it's there. App constantly crashes due to poor coding and too many ads!

There is definitely continuity to their app in the latest Oct 2024 update. It's continuously difficult to navigate. Notification links don't work. And ad videos are even longer then the article content that follows

They don't update their news stories as frequently as other apps. Most recently, I cannot share articles on any text or social media! Auwe!

It has no continuity. When you click on it for a story that you're interested in, you have to watch a whole newscast to get to what the article was about. My phone has voice to text. It would be nice if the article you inspired me to see I can actually read or you could play the clip you are referencing. So frustrating!!! I love NBC And I watch 3 to 4 hours of MSNBC on days when I have a chance.

The update made this app completely terrible. When you open the app the first thing that it takes you to is a full screen ad which you have to close out of just to get to the "homepage" of the app. It's too busy, too much going on, frequently crashes. If you click on top stories it'll show you 3-4 stories then it'll show you 3 ads and it'll repeat itself like that. Seriously, way too many ads. I'll be fine without the app, I'll just go elsewhere for my news.

ADS! My previous review was at 3 starts due to ads. Years later, it is a completely different level. I'm all for tasteful use of ads, but this app now has: heavily intrusive ads, pop-up full screen ads, ads that take you to malicious sites, and now auto-playing ads with audio. Ads are everywhere and if you are not exceedingly careful, you WILL click on an ad. Nope!
