Bought this "smart" meter from Apera solely for the app functionality. The app simply does not work, like at all. It will not let me sign in or create an account, the app instantly crashes when trying. I have tried everything in my power and have gotten nowhere. I even tried to see if I had an account my choosing the "forgot my password" option, and that insta-crashes as well. I have sent emails and placed phone calls and they told me they fixed the app, NOPE it is still totally broken.

Absolutely disappointing. This is a quite pricey meter and to have an app that is so terrible brings down the entire product line. Currently the app has zero functionality. It worked for about 2 hours before constantly crashing and now it will not open at all. Apera needs to partner with a new software developer. I read all the reviews I could find on my meter. However had I read the reviews on the software I might have changed my mind.

I would really like to see this app improve. I see a lot of errors in regards to constant disconnection or data loss and inability to sign in to anything other than a guest account for some devices such as a samsung galaxy tab a. I would be glad to send error logs if the developer is interested. 3 stars.

Unusable. I run multiple reservoirs. I have to go into each record, add the names, and saved each individual record. Furthermore, I added custom categories but the data keeps removing itself from them. Now, the names are missing too from several days of data and the categories are now empty. I have no way of knowin what data goes to which reservoir. This app is useless for reservoir/crop management. Missing data is unacceptable and sucks and you know this. Get it together guys and fix this mess.

For anyone with an Android 10 device, enable location when connecting to your Apera meter via Bluetooth. This is a requirement for lots of external devices, not just Apera Instruments. Once I figured this out I was able to connect all of my current Android 10 phones and tablets!

Been using the tester for over three years. Really like the data management functionalities. Got all my test data organized. Hopefully they can streamline the alarm function better as they have some unit conversion bugs now.

App keeps locking up. Meter works great, but the app isn't reliable and it's really annoying when you're stretching and can't see the numbers on the probe...and the app locks up.

Simply the best smart water tester. Measuring pH tds and conductivity altogether with the awesome data logger. The reading alarm function is also quite practical in terms of letting you know about abnormal readings instantly.
