* Recent changes UI, click to open files.
* Changes to folder and device config can be made regardless if Syncthing is running or not
* UI explains why syncthing is running or not.
* "Battery eater" problem is fixed.
* Discover other Syncthing devices on the same network and easily add them.
* Supports two-way synchronization on external SD card since Android 11.
Syncthing-Fork for Android is a wrapper for Syncthing that provides an Android UI instead of Syncthing's built-in Web UI. Syncthing replaces proprietary sync and cloud services with something open, trustworthy and decentralized. Your data is your data alone and you deserve to choose where it is stored, if it is shared with some third party and how it's transmitted over the Internet.
Goals of the fork:
* Develop and try out enhancements together with the community.
* Release the wrapper more frequently to identify and fix bugs caused by changes in the syncthing submodule
* Lav forbedringer konfigurerbare i UI'en, brugere burde kunne slå dem til og fra
Comparison between upstream and fork at the time of writing this:
* Both contain the syncthing binary built from the official source at GitHub
* Syncing functionality and reliability depends on the syncthing binary submodule version.
* Fork gets along with upstream and sometimes they pick up my improvements.
* Strategi og udgivelsesfrekvens er forskelligt
* Only the wrapper containing the Android UI is addressed by the fork.

syncthing is the best solution for synchronizing data across multiple devices. It's decentralized, which means there is no need for servers, for example a cloud service. This fork/app works as promised. In my case it even replaced any need for other backups, because I now store all my data on all devices I wish to connect. Even better: it's truly free! 🤩

Newly started using this app for syncing my Obsidian vaults on phone and computer. I like this app so far. Intuitive despite a learning curve, efficient and quiet useful. I like the fact that it doesn't send my data via cloud, but directly between the devices. It has provided an excellent alternative to obsidian sync for anyone who loves obsidian but can't afford to pay for the sync. I hope the app continues to work well. Thank you to the dedicated team behind this thoughtful app.

Painful to set up, instructions and guides online are unclear and confusing. Presupposes a lot of prior knowledge and abilities, not for the beginner. It works efficiently enough on my Android devices although it drains battery significantly. Have tried to sync my TSP running crossmix however and it's incredibly unreliable, devices constantly disconnect and prove next to impossible to get back connected without multiple reboots and shutdowns. Overall, not worth the hassle.

Developer just decided to change the meaning of "~" in paths, breaking most of my sync configs on my tablet. Going to have to delete and recreate all share settings, instead of just editing a single text field for path that the developer gets to change, but I don't. Thanks for protecting me from...? Who is protecting me from the developer's whims? Don't want to update app on my phone, yet.

Unreliable. Intermittently hangs "Syncthing is starting"; must reboot to get it to run. Bugs aren't getting fixed. Has recently gotten worse: a permanently "paused" folder on Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 and a folder that can't be shared to a Pixel 4a because it doesn't receive the share notification. Tried restarting, un-sharing/resharing folder, etc.

Huge thanks to the developers for continuing Syncthing through this fork. You've kept local, private syncing alive—massive respect for that! The app works great overall. However, I noticed an issue: some files don’t sync fully. A folder shows 70MB on PC but only 40MB on my phone, though the app claims it's fully synced. Hope this can be fixed. Still, a brilliant app and truly appreciated!

Unbelievably useful! Using various syncthing releases, my Logseq journal is synched between an ipad, an Android and a Windows PC. In a perfect world, such cloudless functionality would come standard in any OS. Just... Don't try to edit on two devices at the same time, of course.

Really great app. To be honest the web UI is enough, no need for the native menus. As long as I can count on it to sync in the background.
