"Open Tasks" is a simple and fast to-do list which was reduced to a reasonable lightweight minimum.

All tasks/todo items are stored in your calendars (tested with Google and Exchange calendars), so you can benefit from reminders, backups and automatic synchronization between several devices using the same accounts. Using the full version, you can share your common tasks with others at your shared calendars.

A simple widget allows you to keep track of your currently open tasks from your home screen or lock screen (Android 4.2 and above).

Tasks can be configured as recurring events with user configurable plans for new occurrences if the previous one was marked as completed:
- Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly recurring with customizable intervals
- Unlimited, fixed number of occurrences or fixed last occurrence date
- Calculation based on the planned due date or the actual completion date

The basic version is free, ad-supported and limited to your own calendars as item storage. Todo items at other users' shared calendars will be read-only - otherwise the app behaves identically to the full version.
