Great app for reading your favorite books if you struggle with kanjis. It also breaks down long and complicated sentences which makes it easier to understand. Another great feature is you can look up and save new vocabulary. And the prices for the pro version are really affordable compared to other apps.

So far i like how much content is available, but the AI is not impressive. The translations are pretty poor. Which makes me worried that the stories may be AI generated. If so, is the content actually useful to help me learn? I really just want practice content. I am willing to use other apps for translation. Edit: Thanks for the response. It is nice to know the content is no AI generated. That was my only concern. I am upping my rating to 5.

Hi developer, your app has great potential! I have read a Japanese book with the app when at zero level! But some sentences are too long, when I use Read button to hear it. There is no way I could Pause reading to take time to understand a part of sentence. Could you please provide the buttons: Pause/Resume and Backward 3 second (or some words), and Forward button? That is better for user who practice shadowing Japanese. Thank you so much 👍

I tried this app before, and I was angry with a bug in the IA translation. Now, it is quite better, but not enough to use it as the only way to understand a text. I am using it in order to analyze other texts that are relevant to me, and I find it very useful to see the roles of the words (nouns, verbs, etc) because it make it easier to look up some specific particles or kanjis. Although the translation can not be trusted, and the readings are high level or hard to learn, this app is helpful 👌

Paid for lifetime subscription. Hands down best japanese learning app with clear breakdown of word's definition, even a camera dictionary. Simply amazing. Thank you for developing the app! Love how I can learn Japanese through a texting interface. So creative! Also love love the books reading! Please introduce more picture books options with audio even!

This app is entirely in Chinese/Japanese so not very useful to English speakers, but I had to comment because the interface is beautiful and it's a very unique app. There are fascinating short lessons (such as how kanji were transformed into katakana and hiragana), an in-app translator that also analyzes grammar, and tons of annotated readings. My Japanese is much better than my Chinese and although this is not how users were intended to use the app, it has been great for improving both langs.

Application: user inputted text analysis. I'm sure it's a great app for articles, but not for song lyrics or conversations. I pasted in lyrics to analyze and it gave me the study buttons at every live break, making it hard to follow. I chose yomiwa instead.
