एक साधारण ऐप जो मीडिया डेटाबेस (उर्फ मीडियास्टोर) को अपडेट करता है। प्रत्येक Android डिवाइस में एक डेटाबेस होता है जो मीडिया की जानकारी संग्रहीत करता है। जब फ़ाइलों को किसी अन्य डिवाइस (जैसे USB के माध्यम से) से स्थानांतरित किया जाता है, तो यह तुरंत अपडेट नहीं होता है। यह ऐप स्टोरेज को स्कैन करता है और डेटाबेस में नया मीडिया जोड़ता है।

I finally found a media scanning app that is fast, properly logs what it is doing, and actually works on the latest Android version. Downside: Does not remove stale entries from the media store, at least when the folder has been deleted. Works fine for adding new files.

Dies a fine job of displaying your media store, I suppose. But it does not refresh it.(meaning empty the database.) Moreover, it appears that the menu items shown in the screenshots for the app are covered by a google ad which cannot be removed. Waste of my time.

This app is really helpful if your google photos is not showing pictures that are in the camera folders. Run this and then go to google photos and it shows the new pics and videos immediately, especially if you have pushed a lot of files through your computer.

Simple and direct. Love the auto-run toggle when launching the app. For some reason, my Instagram doesn't update my MediaStore of my Pixel 6 Pro after saving stories I posted and this app helps. No clutter either unlike other apps

One would think it's something very simple, but the fact that Droid never refreshes the gallery when I need it to was driving me crazy. This app solves the problem. Thank you.

It adds new files to mediastore but doesn't remove the deleted files from it, so my gallery, media player, etc. still detects the deleted files

Used to work. Doesn't since recent update. Scan on startup no longer happens. Hit "start scan" and nothing happens.

I found some instructions on the web on how to refresh the media store, but they to no longer work on newer Android versions (I'm on 13). So I tried this app and it worked.
